    Danganronpa... 1.5?

So if you're looking for more Danganronpa-like gameplay, this is absolutely your game... The deduction segments play out exactly like Danganronpa's Non Stop debates but with character movement instead of a cursor. And it's certainly an intriguing new setting and story. But performance is absolutely, unequivocally "hot garbage". It can barely maintain 30 FPS even while docked, there is obvious texture load-in, certain visual effects don't turn on right away, audio glitches all over... It really can take you out of it. These games are notoriously easy to spoil so if you're even remotely interested, you should pick it up. Oh wait, you can't, because at the time of writing this, it's sold out. Perhaps Spike Chunsoft didn't expect this game to do well at all and didn't produce a whole lot of copies. So wait for a sale on the eShop and get it that way.

It's not Danganronpa 4, but that's not a bad thing

You can't mistake this as anything other than the Danganronpa team's next series, and that's a great thing in my opinion. Rather than contriving some hackney reason to stay in that universe and inevitably selling a few more units at the cost of their sanity, chances were taken and the results are pretty dang entertaining. No Danganronpa experience necessary to enjoy this one, but if you're a veteran of the series the tone, art, music, all just fit like a glove. Listen, I'd love Danganronpa games until the heat death of the universe, but this is hardly a poor substitute. There's plenty of differences to make this a new series with the same elements that made me love that series so much. To me this is a can't miss and I recommend it to those looking to scratch that itch.

    I'm Impressed. Better Than Expected

So, usually I dabble in this genre. Danganronpa, AI Somnium Files, Ace Attorney, etc. But none of those games have grabbed me in the way Rain Code has. The production values are so much higher than I'm accustomed to for games like this. And the prologue mystery was intense. Like, even near the end I couldn't fit all the pieces together. But when I did it felt fantastic. I will say, the prologue dragged a bit longer than it needed, but once it was over the game really opens up. You get a freaking submarine for a base! Don't worry- it's not carbon fiber. Feels like a high budget Danganronpa with the style of Persona. It's pretty dope.

    Great game, but plea

Very fun game, definitely captures the spirit of Danganronpa, down to the introductory characters that are depicted on the cover with intricate designs and personalities and great voice acting... (SPOILER) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ....which were completely wasted after being unceremoniously killed off. Love the game, still angry about how they wasted 5 character designs.
