    Sound is just stunning

My past experience with Bluetooth headphones was telling me that Bluetooth connection can't provide a good sound, until I tried these headphones. Sound is absolutely stunning, crystal clear, even tiniest nuances of music are easy to hear. Listening to the live performances (for example Acustica by Scorpions) and I could hear the crowd like I was there. There is no difference between wireless or wired connection finally! Bass is a bit on a weak side to my taste though. Headphones are well built, ear pads are covered with the very soft leather and easy to remove. Inside of the head band is covered with the same soft leather as the ear pads. I do love the fact that Master Dynamic included a soft carrying pouch for the headphones and all cables, they even included a 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter so you could easily connect to any source. A few not so good things: First is that headphones even extended all the way - barely fit on my head and push against the ears a little bit more than I would like them to. Second - rattle in both headphones. When I turn my head left to right and back - I could hear a small rattle on both sides, like a loose screw or something. Tried contacting customer support asking about it but did not get any feedback. So I decided to see what is going on and opened them, as you can see on the photo - small studs that connect the left and right acoustic enclosures to the headband are kept in place by C-clips, these C-clips are loose and rattle when I turn my head, that happens on both sides so it does not appear to be a defect of this exact pair. Rattle is not significant and I could not hear it while listening to the music, but still leaves a bad taste. Third - bluetooth pairing. When you turn the headphones on - they would connect to the last 2 devices you paired them with. Bluetooth range is amazing - they picking up my computer upstairs when I go downstairs. However, let's say I'm listening downstairs using my phone - headphones will attempt to connect to my computer upstairs and sometimes that gets in the way of listening interrupting the music. There is no way except factory resetting the headphones or turning bluetooth off on the computer to stop this! Other brands have mobile app that shows all paired devices, unfortunately these headphones do not. You don't know what they just paired to - you could only hear a "blip" sound indicating they connected to something. Fourth - battery live is really good, 14 hours of listening - not a problem! 300mAh battery is located in the right acoustic enclosure. However there is no way to tell the actual charge percentage. You can only look at the LED indicator which could be green, amber or red (full, medium or low battery respectively), but no percentage. Overall - a very good headphones, amazingly clear sound and seamless bluetooth connection which is as good as a wire. Definitely worth a try! But a few design problems such as rattling C-clips and pairing leave a few things to improve on. Nearly perfect premium wireless headphones

I received this product in exchange for a review. I’m a casual audio listener. I most frequently use headphones at work to help drown out the busy sounds of an open office plan and focus. While I mostly sit at a desk while listening to music, I find it to be a much more convenient experience to have wired headphones. So, when I received this headphones to review, I was excited to give them a try. Starting with the construction, they are very well made. With abundant use machined aluminum and leather, these headphones give off a very premium feel. The ear cups and leather band around the top make them very comfortable to wear. The included cables and adapter are very well made as well. The buttons and switches on the headphones are solid and easy to feel and activate while on head. The leather ear cups are attached to the headphones with magnets, so they can be removed for cleaning. Every once in a while, I found myself inadvertently removing one of the earpieces when putting on or removing the headphones, so they could probably stand for slightly stronger magnets in that regard. However, there is probably a tradeoff with magnets next to the drivers, so I understand if they made a choice here. As for accessories, the MW60 comes with a round leather case for the cables and audio jack adapter. It’s very well made and looks very nice. In addition to that hard case, Master and Dynamic included a canvas pouch for travel for the same cables and a canvas carrying case. While it seems to be well made, I was a little surprised by that mistake. I’ve seen hard cases with less expensive headphones, so it would have been nice for a pair of headphones in this price range to come with a hard case. For fitting in the case, the MW60 folds up neatly at a hinge between the leather and metal parts of the band to collapse to a move convenient size. For listening quality, these headphones perform very well. I spent a week or so testing these out at work connected to my phone via Bluetooth and was happy with the performance. I would occasionally notice the audio cut out for a split second, but it was very brief and infrequent. I found a website (http://www.audiocheck.net/soundtests_headphones.php) with a series of audio clips to test out different aspects of listening quality. I think the MW60 performed well on most of the tests provided. I did test out the headphones in both wired and wireless mode and noticed a few differences. On the frequency response test (played a series of tones from 10 Hz to 200 Hz with voiceover), I noticed the lower end of the frequency range better when wired. I also noticed a very slight improvement on the dynamic range test (difference between loudest and quietest sound you can hear) when wired. I could clearly hear the test between a 72 and 78 DB difference in sound. I’m sure it’s to be expected that wired can provide a better experience, so that’s probably not surprising. The battery life seems to match the promised range of around 16 hours between charge. I wasn’t able to rigorously test that claim, but the initial charge lasted most of a week of daily use before needing to be recharged. For extending the battery life, the headphones seem to shut off when not playing any audio for a certain period of time. There is an audible click when that happens, but its probably better to save battery life. I struggled for a while as to whether to give these headphones 4 or 5 stars. The MW60 is a very nice set of headphones. The audio quality and craftsmanship are evident qualities. However, there are a few things that could be improved. As I mentioned above, it would be nice if a $500+ set of headphones came with more than a canvas carrying case. Maybe it’s a testament to the sturdy construction of the headphones, but it would have been a nice touch. Additionally, there is a periodic audio cutout on Blutetooth when paired with my iPhone 7 Plus. While writing this review, I paired the headphones with my nearly 5 year old MacBook Pro. I noticed the audio cut out several times a song to the point where it was becoming a bit annoying. For a device that markets itself as having a great antenna, it was a bit disappointing. I would be willing to write that off as being the fault of my laptop if I hadn’t noticed or remembered any issues with my phone as well. Finally, for the price, it would have been nice to include noise cancelling. The primary reason I wear headphones at work is to reduce distraction, and noise cancelling would be a killer feature for these headphones. I know they don’t advertise these as having active noise cancellation, but for high-end headphones, the exclusion is noticeable. So with that in mind, I feel inclined to give these 4 stars. If there were half star ratings, I’d probably bump them up to a 4.5/5. I don’t mean for this last paragraph to detract too much from the overall review. I would probably recommend that others give these headphones a try if looking for a good pair of wireless headphones.

They sound great. They fit large heads poorly. They tend to not grip the head well. Slight movements cause them to start slipping. As this price point, I expect more comfort.

This headphone uses great material, it has real metal real leather (sheep skin for the ear cups and cow skin for the band). This headphone is more neutral compare to the MH40. When the instrument plays on the MH40 it sounds very vivid and close compare to the MW60. The Bluetooth connections is good I don't have disconnecting issue like other reviews. I used this headphone mostly in hotels and airplane. One minor issue I have on this headphone is that no one mention in review about the microphone. The microphone is not the worst compare to other headphones I have. But people can not hear you well with this microphone unless you scream at it. The other thing I'm not a big fan of is the price, for $550 is a bit heavy IMO. If you like a more neutral sound but still has a bit of color this headphone will be good for you.

    Great Set of Cans!

I was so excited and had high expectations when I opened these, and they did not disappoint. The build on these are amazing. No cheap plastic anywhere to be seen. The ear cups are super soft and comfortable to wear, and do a fairly decent job of noise canceling of ambient sound. Also, I wear glasses, and the cups don't put any pressure on them, so I can wear the MW60's without any fatigue. The head band does not slide adjust at all, it just fits right, hard to explain, but works perfectly. Bluetooth was easy to connect and has fantastic range. The sound is great. I like to listen to music un-EQ'd or flat. That being said, these have excellent mids and highs, and there is a good separation of frequencies(not muddy), they just need a little help on the low end(punch). It could be that they need to "break-in". The only reason I took a * away was because of the price. I have other sets of cans that are cheaper that sound better IMO, but nowhere near the quality of build and materials used.

Overall Good Sound, misses some key areas

Summary: Good set of wireless headphones that are missing some key features. Sounds quality is somewhat variable, but plays high quality songs very well most of the time. If you play a lower quality track or maybe an old song that hasn't been remastered, you will probably notice the loss in quality more than other models. No Noise cancelling. Quality of leather and lambskin is very top-notch. Ear cuffs feel pretty good too. However, the overall feel of the rest of the materials doesn't match the quality of the leather and lambskin. Easy to get started. Flexibility with connections, long battery life. Overall rating 3.8-4.2 out of 5. Packaging/Headphone Quality & Comfortability : The headphones come packaged with detail and care. Accessories have a separate round (and matching) leather case. The packaging definitely keeps the headphones protected. The included carrying case seems the be generic and doesn't match the headphones. Nothing special. Does not reflect the quality of the material used on the headphones themselves. Not very protective either, just something to place your headphones and some accessories in. The headphones themselves are good and bad quality at the same time. The leather and lambskin materials are very nice and feel great. I have the brown headphones and they look really nice because of those materials. You can see and feel the quality. They are also quite comfortable after long periods of use and don't make my ears overheat quickly. They do a good job at breathability. The fit is also really nice. This is obviously very user dependent but the headband is quite flexible and sturdy, so it should accommodate many people. They feel really nice on my head even after long use. This is a high point. However, I am very disappointed in the rest of the materials. The buttons and other supporting structure do not feel high quality and almost cheap-feeling. This is really disappointing since other headphones at this price-point do a much better job, even when plastic is used. The buttons do not feel nice. The button position indicators are painted on and make this look like a cheap knock-off. I'm generally not too picky about this, but I believe this is a huge miss and some users value those details greatly. Features: Overall the features are solid. The biggest miss would be the lack of Noise-Cancelling. Depending on the person this is make or break. For me, I would prefer to have some level of noise cancelling included. I rarely listen to my headphones in a quiet environment at home, so muddling out the outside sounds would be nice. I also enjoy noise-cancelling without listening to anything, for example sleeping or reading on a noisy airplane. Fortunately, the sound level and quality is good enough to take care of this problems in many environments, but not all. For example, big city noise and airports diminish the listening quality. I enjoy the flexibility of using the Aux port if bluetooth is unavailable (or low battery). Omni-directional mic with calling function. Multi-function button is straight-forward to use, but I prefer double/triple taps for track changes, etc versus the hold for a certain time on these headphones. Also works with Siri. Simple and easy micro-USB charging. Folds and rotates for storage. Connection range and strength was excellent at home. Did not notice any problems outdoors. Sound: Definitely has a break-in period. More noticeable on this set than others. I was not too fond of these headphones initially, but they grew on me over time. The sound is clear and holds up at the highest sound levels. It must be clearly noted that the source quality effects the sound quality greatly. This is pretty obvious, but I compared the sounds on this set and another and there was a clear difference. These headphones do not handle lower quality songs as well as other sets in the same price range, especially at higher sound levels. I also found that the vocals on certain songs (this goes double for low quality songs) tends to get washed out by the instrumentals/background/beats. This was not a consistent problem but something I definitely noticed. I connected them to my TV and watch some movies and TV shows. They did a solid job and would recommend for TV/Movie use as well. Bass was pretty balanced on most-songs, and came out with a solid punch on bass-heavy tracks. I really appreciated that. The sound is good and very enjoyable at times. Closing: This is a good set of headphones with some highs and lows. At this price point, I do expect more and would definitely explore other options before settling on this particular model. I know Master and Dynamic makes some really get products, but I would not consider this one of their best. If this is your first high-end set, you'll probably be quite satisfied, but I would advise everyone to explore other headphones as well.

I will start out by saying i'm a bit of an audiophile, which is why I was kind of excited to try out these headphones. The first thing you will notice when you open the box and pick them up is the amazing build quality of these headphones. They clearly took a lot of time in designing these and used high quality materials. The leather, the stainless tell and aluminum really come together to create a beautiful set of headphones. It would be hard to find a better looking pair of headphones. I know everyone's head is different, but these fit perfectly on my head and were very comfortable to wear. I know they aren't billed as noise canceling headphones, but they did block out a considerable amount of outside noise. Now, getting to the sound quality. I will do this in 2 parts, the wired, and then the bluetooth. I will start with the bluetooth. I found them to sound pretty good when I used them wirelessly. I hooked them up to both my phone and my imac and they had good crisp sound, good bass, and were quite clear and a pleasure to listen to. I was able to get really good range out of them, and found that the battery easily met the 16 hour battery life they said they had, but that of course will depend on what you are playing, the volume and things like that. Next I will get to the wired connection which I was hoping would be amazing...because that is what I listen to most. I hooked it up to my marantz receiver and my turntable and plugged these in waiting for some amazing sound. What I got was a very muddy sound. Lots of low end, very little mids, and almost no high end to speak of. Then I plugged them into my Fiio player...got the same results even after adjusting the EQ. Then I plugged them into my imac and got the same results...even though when I played it through bluetooth on there they sounded fine. OVerall I am pleased with these headphones. Amazing build and design quality and great sound over bluetooth. But if you are looking for a pair of headphones that can be used wired as well, these might not be for you. ...and yes, I plugged my regular headphones into all 3 devices and they sounded amazing...so there is something weird with these when you use a wired connection. I would still recommend them though if you are looking for a high quality set of bluetooth headphones.

The Master and Dynamic MW60 Headphones are a definite replacement for someone that wants portable studio quality and top notch bluetooth sound. I was very impressed with the packaging of the MW60 headphones, everything was protected and the leather headphone cable container is a beautiful touch. Build Quality is overall amazing, very heavy duty and nice material. The cushions material feel like a soft leather couch on your head, just a little small though. The band is very high quality, stainless screws on the joints, made to last. Sound is amazing, I used my Google Pixel phone and it connected quick and the clear sound was welcoming. The highs are crisp and can be adjust further through the phones equalizer to be loud and still stay very clear. The mid-range is perfect, nothing sounded overly flat or over pronounced. The lows will go low but not drown out the rest, very clean bass. The battery life is amazing as well, I made it through my 10 hour shift without having to charge at lunchtime, very nice to have the big battery. I would have liked to receive a charging block in the box, a lot of companies have stopped giving charging blocks, I cannot have 30 devices charging off my computer. The main issue I had is the comfort, if you have big ears, they may not fit into the cups, mine are close and make it slightly uncomfortable to wear over an hour, I have to constantly adjust them so they feel okay. The price point is fairly high for these in my opinion, I own $100 headphones that fit better and the sound quality is on par with these. If you want the battery life and easy bluetooth connection, these should be a top choice, if you are just looking awesome sound, these may be a little much.

    Top tier cans

I’ve read some reviews that weren’t too flattering. I don’t get it. The build quality is only rivaled by B&W for the price point. The construction of these cans justify a portion of the price due to longevity. I cannot imagine you’d have to replace these for years to come. As for sound this headset probably ranks near the best you’ll get for your dollar. The bass is actually great. If you want more bass then you’re not looking for quality sound. The bass is rather heavy. Anything more will probably muddy the sound. The highs leave something to be desired for my taste. I prefer the highs on the B&W PX. However, the MW60 hold their own. Bottom line they aren’t an item I’d pay $500 for because I’m not rich. But definitely worth the same price point the PX, HD1, or even the Bose 700’s
