Feels good in my hands right out of the box. I can use it as a tripod or selfie stick. Easy to mount the camera. Easy to lock in place.

This easy to use grip is specially made so that 365 images will not show the grip when extended to its full length.

I brought this go pro stand because from the picture, it looks like it’s tall enough to sit on the floor and extend all the way up at least to face level. However, it’s more like a counter top stand. Definitly not worth $60 bucks. To say this is a go pro product, the quality is no different then the tripods I have purchased from Amazon which are way cheaper.

Disappointed Purchase

I cannot recommend this product and I'm being generous giving it one star. I bought this less than a month ago, used it for it's extension--which is less than 24" and not worth its price--and for mostly underwater usage, it appears water has corroded the extender part making it useless. The bottom of the tripod snapped off. If I could take this back, I would. I'm disappointed in GoPro for this fail of a design knowing users will take this underwater.

I bought it for my GoPro 10. I didn’t want the shorter tripod. It works well especially when traveling. I thought it was a little pricy though.

It is solid and fits the go pro well. I wish it was taller but is still kept the video steady and was very easy to use

If you shoot 360 degree footage, you need an extension pole. This is a decently long pole in a sturdy package. My only complaint is the locking mechanism to keep it extended. For me, it can become unlocked too easily (you twist it to unlock, then pull it out to extend it and turn it to lock it).
I also like the built in tripod, which is useful in a pinch, but it's not that tall to place on the ground. You'll want a true tripod for that. But if you want to minimize what you carry, this can work.

Highly recommend this tripod for the go pro! Heavy duty and feels great in the hands, not cheap and no plastic feeling. Handle grips great in hands and having the extension helps a lot!
Would recommend over the other foldable go pro tripod. My only concern is with time the extension on this tripod may not hold its lock, we will see with time and use.
Overall I love it

This is one of those must have things for any gopro. Great grip easy to hold. And it extends to get better views. Not to mention the handle turns into a tripod.

I can't imagine owning a GoPro Max without this. It works as advertised and is easy to set up/tear down. Is it worth $60? Well... I guess so. There are few must-have accessories for this great camera, but the tripod is definitely one of them. Highly recommended.

Tripod works good. Its moves around with a good breeze as long as you have the camera stabilizer set its not a problem.
It is light weight and extends well. It xan feel a little grainy or rough if you dont turn it all the way to extend and colapse. Other than that I like the function.

For the price tag, I would expect better. It feels a bit off in durability and I'm not particularly crazy about the tripod legs. I feel it could use with a spring mechanism to shoot the legs outwards and a more robust quality to it. The twist action to lock and unlock the pole for extension and dropping is also not ideal. There are better ways of locking and unlocking extensions like this. I've also read that it tends to fail in the cold because of this, I have yet to find out as it is still summer. It is not terrible by any means, it just feels like it could be a lot better for the price tag. Some more length would be very nice too, but then that is how they do business... and well that results in this kind of review. The longer I'm owning my gopro and its GIMIKS, the more I'm losing respect for this company. Too many designs are feeling like lazy cop outs to pander more money. I don't mind them trying to make a buck on these attachments and what not. They are not the only ones. What I mind is when theses attachments are just a lazy design and charge too much for said lazy design. I expect much better for something that was specifically designed for this camera.
Again, not a terrible product. But I just can't recommend this thing for the price tag and what it actually is. If you have the money, do what you want. But it's not that horribly special for what they are charging.

It’s a great selfie stick that splits into a tripod. I’ve definitely found it useful on my trip and I’m looking forward to using it again. Only thing I’d keep in mind is that I’m not sure if it’s rated for use in water. I’m quite certain it will not float so if you do take it in the ocean make sure you hold onto it.
Just make sure when you twist it to adjust the length you don’t over torque it otherwise it can seize and you won’t be able to adjust it.
