Maytag needs better quality control

The water dispensing nozzle is situated so that drips go down the front of the door rather than into the drip tray. (Photos below). Cups over 6” are impossible to put ice into, and equally as frustrating is not bumping the water unintentionally, and either results in a mess. We returned.

Very Loud

My complaint is this is the loudest fridge ever. It roars constantly and you can even hear it in the other room. Also it says 3 is the setting for fridge and for canned drinks to get as cold as they should be we have to put the setting on 5. So far no issues with ice maker like others have but I’ve only had it a couple weeks

Expected better from Maytag

This fridge does not have customizable shelves. You can not make one section taller and others smaller. It makes it hard for short people to put the large things on the large shelf that is on top. Also, the drawers and storage on the doors are a thin plastic. I'm just waiting for one of them to break. You also have to watch what you put on the top shelf in the back. If you get it too close to the cooling unit it will freeze what you have next to it. The things along the back shelf and to the right the things don't get cold. I've only seen this happen on the top shelf though. The ice maker dispenser is in a funny area. If you don't push the ice nozzle just right, you will get squirted with water. I will never rely on descriptions from the internet before I purchase a fridge. I should have went and looked at this model in person before I purchased. What is really bad is that I waited 2-3 months before it even arrived.

Great Product

Great so far, and very nice looking. Has a high end look to it. I would recommend.

Bad warrenty coverage

Do not recomend any purchases here

The doors set into the door are great and stay put, although they can be removed for cleaning. The shelves are easily removed for cleaning as well. Good look, good buy, good value.

Horrible Horrible Service- Broken Fridge

Ice will get stuck in the door flap and eventually turn to water and leave a puddle on the floor. In order to prevent this, after getting ice, you need to put your hand up the shoot and pull out the stuck ice. This isn't too challenging for my wife but I have fairly large hands and half the time I accidently hit the water button which then water comes out and goes all over the floor. We have called Maytag's service dept. Multiple times and they have sent someone out three times now to repair the issue. It is still not working correctly and they refuse to refund our money. Not only will they not refund our purchase, they are condescending while on the phone and rude. I will never buy another Maytag product as they don't stand behind their products. We have our 4th repair visit schedule at this point which is absurd and forces us to step away from work to be home for this repair visits.

Defective product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this refrigerator from BBY thinking it would be a good choice, as its a Whirlpool brand. I was impressed with its build and appearance, and BBY reps had good things to say. Withing 8 months of owning it, Ice Maker quits working. Good thing I had purchased BBY Black Tide Protection for 3 years. They came out, did very little actual trouble shooting but replaced the entire ice maker component in the door. Back to working. Another 6 months, it quits again. Tech was sent again via BBY, not sure what was done this time but got it functioning again. At this point I was concerned about this model and complained to BBY customer service to refund the money while I am still under warranty, so that I can put it towards another refrigerator. I don't think they saw my ask as genuine and told me they cannot do this as its an ICE maker issue. I decided to try my luck. Another 8 months goes by and the thing breaks again. At this point I am really upset and I tell BBY that I am stuck with this defective product and tired of fixing it over and over. Its worth noting that we use our refrigerator very gentle and ice machine is conservatively used only. BBY wanted to send the tech again to fix, I told them they can do this but I am out of warranty in 1 more month and if this happens again, they need to support. Agent over the phone said everything will be documented. They replaced the inlet valve this time, and it was working again. Here we are another 6 months after. Ice machine has stopped working. BBY will no longer help, its out of warranty. Fridge is now 3.5 years old. I am out of luck I guess.

Nothing but problems with the ice maker , had to replace the door less than 1 year after purchase ! Everytine the filter is replaced it quits making ice ! When we do exactly what the Manuel says for the past 3 years !!
