I bought this as a replacement for our standard dishwasher that came with our townhome. Maytag did a great job with keeping the sound to a minimum and great looks inside and out....but that is it. I've used the recommended detergent and this thing is by far worse than my previous washer. I rinse all my dishes before they go into the washer, but it does not help here. Anything that dries on the dishes while waiting for a wash cycle rarely comes off. Clear glassware is another story. The drying cycle is just ok. Bottom line, looks and sounds nice but doesn't function well...(like my ex)

I bought the dishwasher and had it delivered. I wasn't able to open the box until many months later. When i did it seemed brand new with plastic wrap and insulation intact. I had a plumber come over to install. He opened the door to take a look and there were to parts that were broken. I was shocked and said we just opened the box today. I am out of luck due to not opening immediately but hoping to maybe help others by making sure you open box quickly and inspect parts thoroughly.

opened box and the parts inside were broken and there was no manual? I thought this was a New dish washing machine? I had to wait 6 months for free time to install so i am hoping Best Buy or Maytag wil offer me a New machine that isn't broken inside. Calling support today.

Super dishwasher that gets the job done. We chose this unit because of the built in disposal that will help grind up food that comes off your plates during the wash process. On other units, you have to manually clean out the disposal area. Not on this one - just let it run on its own. This is a very quiet unit - absolutely wonderful. The upper rack can be adjusted lower if needed, and the adjustment levers intrude a bit on the top rack. The area there is narrower, so certain glasses work better there... just something extra you have to think about while loading the washer. The racks on this washer do not have any flip down sections to help accommodate larger items such as pots or bowls. I am still trying to figure out the best way to load these larger items. I cannot get as many dishes in this unit because of this. I really like the silverware basket - it is metal, so I know it will last. You can use it with or without the top slotted cover. This cover makes sure each piece of silverware is separated from the others, to get them cleaner Lastly, as I have said in my other reviews, I HATE that Maytag has put a metal label on the front advertising the warranty on the unit. Why? I want to remove it, but am afraid of damaging the finish.

I was looking for a new built in dishwasher & I wanted one that would be lowest noise possible. I was worried that even though the rating was low I'd still be able to hear it. If you have similar concerns then rest assured this dishwasher is the one you want. I literally wouldn't know it was running without the indicator lights. There is absolutely NO noise whatsoever! I love the adjustable racks & stainless steel interior. The stainless steel finish is beautiful, sleek & modern looking. The way this machine cleans is phenomenal---my dishes always come out sparkling clean & feel & look clean. I wish I could do a commercial for this product. As if that weren't enough to be thrilled about--did I mention that there's a 10 year warranty on parts AND a 10 year warranty on labor. I always do a lot of research before I make a purchase like this--not only did I hit a home run with this purchase--I knocked it out of the park!!!!

I bought this for a replacement unit in a rental unit. My tenant was very pleased with the dishwasher, said it was quieter than previous one, and the features of finger print resistant on the front of the dishwasher was appealing and the high end design and components made this a good purchase, and hopefully last in my rental for years to come

I read the reviews and was concerned about the leaking door issue some people were having so I had a licensed plumber install the machine. I love this dishwasher. It replaced a Bosch and cleans much better. It's very quite, good looking, dries well and has a great capacity. No regrets

I love how quite this dishwasher is! With the controls on the top of the door, it is sometimes difficult to know if it has finished running. The upper rack on this dishwasher can be adjusted lower if needed. The levers for this make a portion of the upper rack narrower, which may limit the style of glass you can put there - just something to keep in mind while loading dishes. Also, there are no flip down sections on the racks to allow for larger items like pots and bowls. Loading larger items is a challenge, and I cannot get as many dishes in this unit as I was able to in my older Maytag unit. We chose this model because of the built-in 'disposal' that will grind food bits that are washed off your plates and bowls. On other units, you have to manually clean out the food that gets left behind. This model does it for you. The silverware basket it metal, so I know it will last. It can be used with or without the slotted lid. Those slots keep your silverware separated form the other pieces, so they get fully cleaned. Lastly, this dishwasher comes with a metal tag on the front advertising the warranty on the unit - ugh. May be necessary on the showroom floor, but has no place in my kitchen. Wish I knew a good safe way to remove it.

We had a basic fridgidaire dishwasher that did no leave dishes clean or dry. So I read a lot of reviews, and narrowed our choices to Bosch, Maytag, and Kitchenaid. Based on the reviews and the great deal of Maytag being on sale with free delivery and installation we went ahead and purchased it. First, the installation was on a Saturday which is good so we didn't have to miss work. The geek squad technician went beyond the duty and explained details of different dishwashers and to use the included sample soap and rinse aide. He also did a very good installation and we were happy with the result. Now the dishwasher has the buttons on the top so kids do press them by mistake. You'll know when the cycle is down bcuz there is an indicator light on the front. We use quick cycle with heated dry option. This take about 90 mins to complete. The machine is very quiet. Also the color is not exactly stainless steel but still matches our other appliances and finger prints are not as visible. The dishes come out clean and dry and spotless. One thing is that when the cycle is done, you want to open it and flip over and cup or bowls that may have water collected. Then close the door and let them dry out even further. It's going to be very hot so best keep it closed for a while and let them dry and cool down. My wife is very happy and you know what they say...

Liked the 10yr warranty on the racks and pump. I believe ALL manufactures should do better on this. The instruction State “do not rinse or scrub dishes before loading” as this can affect washing outcome. On several washes we did not rinse and got the expected outcome, even on powerBlast it left food film & particles on dishes that should have been pre-scrubbed(yes, used the bottom rack just for those). Top panel display needs more thought though, maybe a downward angle for better overall view and leave the “clean” displayed until reset by starting a new cycle instead of just one close of the door. Energy efficient if your willing to allow much more time (up to 3 hours - old one was 45 min.). A quick wash is 55 min. and uses the most energy. Very quiet operation, old dwasher was noisy enough that as it got older and began to fail, you could hear that function fail (like water not filling properly). This design (internally) looks much better & solid than the older & current G. & E. appliances we’ve owned, of which we have never been happy with durability or reliability. Family & friends that have owned Maytag have been mostly trouble-free, I believe this Maytag (our first) dishwasher will be too.

we bought this dishwasher over 6months ago and it continues to thoroughly clean the dishes and is very quiet, so that we don't know it is on. I love the adjustable top rack. The washing process is significantly slower than our previous dishwasher. It hasn't been a problem yet, but is something we have to plan around at times.

If you are looking for an amazing, quiet, cleaning machine. Look no further as this is a well-built incredibly quiet, self cleaning dishwasher! It not only gets my dishes amazingly clean, it does so virtually silently. In all honesty I think my refrigerator makes more noise in this machine. As an added bonus the ball bearing slides on the top rack, and the well made stainless steel silverware basket give it premium feel. That's not to mention that there's no filters that have to be maintained with this machine, as it has a hard food disposal!! That means absolutely no rinsing of dishes is required, and no nasty filters to handle! Needless to say it's worth every penny I paid and has made my life so much easier!

Quiet, easy to use, works well! We bought it for a rental property and would highly recommend it.

We loved the look of this dishwasher and how it had no branding or logo on it and the stainless steel was truly fingerprint resistant which was wonderful. Also, ran super quiet and had no complaints about the cleaning. However, we had two of these units come with a faulty latch which caused the dishwasher to think it was fully closed, but we had water and steam escaping and running down the front of the dishwasher during the wash cycle so we had to return it and get a different brand. Best Buy was great about handling the returns both times.

Stainless steel matched well with other appliances in kitchen. So silent I forget that its on. Adjustable racks are great, but design of top rack could be better. Have to work a little to arrange top rack.

Purchased because our other dishwasher died. Maytag was recommended and after looking at reviews this was one of the best at a mid point price range. A little smaller inside than our previous KitchenAid but it’s quiet and does it’s job. Love the no print stainless finish on outside.

Maytag dishwasher is very quiet and efficient.in its operation, which is a plus. The stainless steel interior presents a clean appearance. The adjustable shelving allows me options in how to stack larger pots, pans along with daily items for cleaning. A good buy.

We wanted heated dry and a food grinder. Not many brands have both those features. This one has it all, plus it looks great and is incredibly quiet. It cleans extremely well and the dishes come out dry. One more plus: the smudge proof finish really works. Look at this model in the store next to the others. The stainless doesn't show fingerprints and smudges like the rest. Very happy with this dishwasher.
