Bosch is totally worth the money. The drawer layout is so logical. Plenty of space for everything and no jamming plates into the rack. The third rack has great silverware holders. Whisper quiet operation and super clean dishes. So happy!

Traded up for this in June 2022 after the GE we bought took a dump in a week. Worked fantastic until October 2023. Now all the sudden the circulation pump screams during operation. Definitely had bad bearings. Thankfully i have the total tech membership so it's still covered for repairs. Not to thrilled with these appliance manufacturers anymore. It seems like all they make is disposable junk that lasts a year or 2. The dishwasher worked like a charm until this happened. Long wash cycle but that didn't bother us because we ran it at bedtime, it wasn't extremely loud but if you hang out near it while its running it will most likely be the loudest thing in the room, still not an issue as our bed rooms are all well away from the kitchen. Best Buy has been excellent in the entire process, from the failed week old GE to this one now at almost 16 months old.

Keep your chopper bike—here's the chopper I like!

Bought the machine not on this platform but right from Maytag itself, but Best Buy probably has the most publicly visible site for me to review it on. Love this washer. Installed it myself and have had it in use for a couple of years now. So far it’s proven very reliable. I find that it cleans by far the best of any of the several I’ve used. But still, per expert testing, some others clean a bit better. It’s also very quiet in use. But still, per expert testing, some others are a bit quieter. But I love it just the same and chose it above all others I could find, because of its “food chopper,” a waste disposer built right in that is said to be the best on the market. So far as I can discern, many dishwashers have no such device, and no European one does, even Miele’s high-end offerings. I always took the trouble to scrape and wipe down everything I put into my previous dishwashers, none of which was a Maytag. Yet, when I gave any of them a tedious thorough annual cleaning, I always found that each had a lot of debris clogging up its nether regions. Not so with this Maytag. With my previous washers, I’d take the time to tidy up the shootin’ match. Once each year I’d pull out the filter, screen, spray arms, and associated parts, power-spray those parts all out thoroughly, scrub out the machine’s interior, clear the guts out as far as I could reach my fingers in (right down to the drain-pump impeller), replace the removed parts, and then run the empty washer through a full cycle on the extra-hot setting with a container of special-purpose commercial cleanser. Quarterly, I’d empty it and run it through a full extra-hot cycle with an ounce of plain citric acid too. Between regular wash cycles, I’d rinse the contents all the time when it was partly filled to boot. No good neglecting it! But, even so, after another year had passed, each of my previous washers would once again be not just grimy, but cruddy. And, much more frequently than that, some of the holes in its spray arms would clog up and need clearing out. And, no matter how well maintained, no matter what detergent I used, my previous washers would at best do a good but not very good job of cleaning dishes in the bottom rack, and a so-so job in the top one. Even this machine I’ll still run a package of dishwasher cleanser through annually, but I think I’m done with the dreary laborious hand-scrubs and sprayouts. I still scrape and wipe everything down before I put it in too, so as not to overwork the machinery, but it’s nice to know it can probably handle any bits I happen to miss and will vigorously empty out the wash water instead of just slowly draining it. I treasure that vigor, and the food chopper as well, even though I’ve never owned a sink-drain-mounted waste disposer, for I have composted all my kitchen food waste for many years. I do occasionally find a scrap of food in this machine’s “foreign object cup,” at the bottom close to the front and easily emptied. Some may prefer top-mounted controls over this machine’s face-mounted ones, but I have no preference, and I like having a front-facing screen that tells me how long a time a cycle has yet to run. Some think this machine’s full cycles take too long, but they don’t trouble me at all; this machine does have a quick cycle, but the full-length cycles are pretty much all that I use at any time of day. Often the cycle finishes a little sooner than the countdown time first shown on the display. The Power Blast cycle is great for hard-to-clean items; in my experience, set-in strong tea stains and stainless-steel coffee stains are about the only things that may defeat it when I use a Finish Quantum pack in the dispenser, together with a little citric acid, and Cascade Complete powder in the pre-wash receptacle above it. (Other products may work just as well, but I happen to have a stock at home of the ones I mention. Detergents made today are at the cleaning disadvantage that they’re prohibited from containing phosphates.) I do arrange everything I put in with some care—for the spray arms turn counterclockwise, as seen from above—and it all comes out quite clean despite that it’s dry to start with, since I run the machine only once a week or so and never bother rinsing the contents between washes anymore. There are lots of settings besides, including optional drying with heat of long or short duration, which I very seldom use, and a menu of adjustable default settings. What’s more, the machine’s initial cost is modest and its ownership cost moderate. Really, the only feature found on other Maytag dishwashers that I wish this model had is a height adjustment for the upper rack. Some prefer a third rack, but I think that would be intrusive. My sole complaint probably applies to every dishwasher made today: Together with its stainless interior, I wish this machine’s racks were made of stainless steel, not just coated, for I’ve found that the coating can crack off and allow the rack to rust, especially at the tines. But appliance-store sales staff assure me that nobody makes a dishwasher with stainless racks, and I suspect that the time it takes them to rust much is usually beyond any washer’s expected service life. But I keep my dishwashing machines for many years. Bravo, Maytag, especially on your food chopper, and keep it up! Maytag’s phone service these days does leave something to be desired. In my recent experience, a voice call with a general question may leave you trying to make your way through the phone tree to reach a live agent, calling repeatedly, and having long waits on hold, while a general email may be acknowledged but go unanswered.

After more than a year of use, I've come back to write a review of this dishwasher. To date, we have had absolutely no issues with this washer. It cleans very well. I am a pre-rinser, but my wife is not, and it handles all dishes great. The only thing it seems to struggle with is peanut butter. My wife sticks spoons and butter knives with peanut butter in there, and it does not get them off. Wash those separately. The 50dba seems about right I guess, can't measure it, but you definitely hear and notice the washer running. We normally set it at night, and it will not keep anyone up. Falling asleep on the couch with the dishwasher running, and you will not be disturbed. Like the size, if we wanted, for two people we could go a full week with our dishes. Utensil holder is good. Love the controls on the front and not up under the countertop. Front does will with fingerprints. Maybe the only gripe would be that the wash cycles are long. But I dont think there is anyway to get around that with any dishwasher. All in all, after a year of trouble free use, we are very pleased with our purchase.

Love it. Cannot believe how quiet it is. Gets dishes super clean on normal cycle. Do need to open door a little for condensation to dry off. Does hold a lot of dishes. Like the front panel so I can easily view how long is left in the cycle, which is pretty long. Last one I had was long also. Researched a lot of dishwashers and this one had best reviews for the money spent. Good value!

I recently purchased this dishwasher, and it has exceeded all my expectations. It handles even the toughest, dried-on food stains effortlessly, leaving dishes sparkling clean every time. The different cycle options allow for customized cleaning, whether it's a quick rinse or a heavy-duty wash for pots and pans. One of the best features is how quiet it is—sometimes, I forget it’s running! The sleek design fits perfectly in my kitchen, and the adjustable racks provide excellent flexibility for loading large or oddly shaped items. Not only does it perform well, but it’s also energy-efficient, which is a big plus for saving on utility bills. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this dishwasher and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-performing appliance!

Very quiet. Well designed. Large capacity. Cleans very well. We like the controls on the front where you can actually see them, but the dishwasher still looks sleek. This is actually our third time to buy this same model (we have rental/vacation properties). That’s how much we like it. No problems.

We purchased this dishwasher December 2024. We LOVE this dishwasher. It does an awesome job getting the dishes clean. It is quiet - not silent - but the noise level is not obtrusive at all. Being able to hear it running lets us know it is doing its' job. The dry function is amazing. The only time there is water left on an item is if there is a depression on the top of the item, and a few drops of water collect (this is normal). I absolutely love that the controls are on the front of the machine - not the top ledge of the door. It allows us to see exactly where the cycle is, and the amount of time remaining. The cycle options are perfect - it has everything we need, and nothing we do not need. The light that says "clean" is a reminder that we have run the machine and that the items are ready to be put away. The hubby says it it a "sweet, kick-butt" dishwasher!

The dishwasher works very well. However please understand that it DOES NOT come with a power cord which you have to buy separately and then install as well. Also one of the connections that you connect to with a brass fitting from you hot water hose is actually plastic. I did have to purchase the install kit from Best Buy to install the dishwasher. The clips that are used to hold the return water were not the strongest and did come off two times once it was installed and we had water everywhere and had to pull it out again and reattach them. Overall however the dishwasher itself works very well and my wife is very pleased with it. It does however take over 2 hours to do a load.

Perfect dishwasher! I have no complaints really. It is quiet and washes and dries things thoroughly. Sometimes i still have select wet tupperware, which is normal because of different plastics. I also use an enzyme based eco friendly tablet to wash everything, so my glasses are still foggy sometimes. Thats my only gripe, but i suspect it is the cleaner ive chosen. Otherwise, i love it.
