It has a large capacity and top load door. I don't need all the bells and whistles but this has want I use when I wash clothes, linen, and other large items.

When we started using this new one we found the dials confusing and had to spend time doing internet searches to figure things out. The new machine was lacking in user information and we found the whole Deep Fill thing confusing. We've had the machine for several weeks now and and determined what features of the machine work best for us. We like the machine but found 23 years makes a big difference in product design and features.

I'm not sure why but thinking because it spins the clothes really fast and gets the water out. I cannot hang anything on hanger without a lot of wrinkles. Must use my dryer for most things or wrinkle city! Otherwise, this machine is sturdy and cleans laundry great. I love all the choices I have for different loads and water temps. It just those wrinkles.

Warranty issue and generally disappointing

Maytag won’t even answer the phone if I don’t first enter the serial number which I believe is under the locked lid. Geek squad coverage evidently does not start until the manufacturer 1 year warranty expires so without the serial number I’m at something of an impasse. I’m not sure what to do next other than wait the remaining 8 months for the geek squad coverage to kick in. The washer itself is unimpressive. It’s extremely simple, no digital displays, only old school dials. The washer is also quite loud, overall not a great buy.

That said, I really like this washer. It’s basic but it will fill up with water and all the clothes come out clean. It’s better than what I had and therefor far better than expected. I have only had it a little over a month but it gets used often.
