Like this washer very much. We needed a large capacity washer for our larger and bulky items. Most comforters, pet beds, area rugs and such handle well in this washer. Only 2 things I would improve: the drainage seems to sometimes leave things in the well that would easily be able to drain away and washer requires wiping at this point, and the fabric softener fill well is difficult to clean. This should be removable.

Likely one of the noisiest washers we have ever owned. Top has a small forward slope. Not easy to detect in showroom and certainly not to see as a problem. BUT, leave anything on the top when running the washer and it will be on the floor. Have found it washes clothes pretty well.

This washer is much better than our last one! Almost no noise, more load capacity, and leaves clothing much cleaner.

Good purchase, I have used it twice so far, seems a little loud but overall I like it. Holds a lot more clothes then my previous washer. I like the simple settings.

This Maytag washer is a terrible washer machine. I would not recommend to any person to buy it. Makes loud noise when it washing and right now it’s broke down with my clothes in it and water. Can’t open lid to get my clothes out. I call customer service and no one can’t give me answers. I just purchased this washer 5/4/2024 and it hasn’t been a year with this washer. Very upset.

This washer is spacious and effective, but it's a bit noisy.

I like how spacious the washer is. Fits my comforter. However, the only thing that I would change for this dryer is keeping it unlocked when the washer is filling. You have to put the detergent before the water runs because as soon as you start it, it locks. Could be that I am using it wrong.

1) My review of the purchase experience with Best Buy 2) My review of the performance of a new Maytag washing machine 3) My review of the appliance repair service offered by Best Buy/Geek Squad 4) My review of the appliance installation teams sent by best Buy 1) The initial purchase of the Maytag Washer (8/23/23) was a first rate experience with all items clearly explained and the washer scheduled for delivery and installation on 8/28/23. 2) The performance of the new Maytag washer was more than disappointing. Once installed the washer “seemed to function/wash/etc.” as needed for the next 5 days. Then (on day 5: 9/2/23) it stopped washing/functioning in the middle of a wash cycle. The “wash” indicator light remained “on” as everything else stopped. There was no way to clear/resolve this condition. 3) The call for repair assistance was made to Maytag Customer Service and to Best Buy on 9/2/23 resulting with an in-home repair call being scheduled with The Geek Squad for 9/7/23. 4) On 9/7/23 the “expected” in-home service call developed into a period of confusion where the Best Buy Appliance installers arrived to remove the malfunctioning Maytag washer instead of The Geek Squad arriving to repair the machine. In the midst of this confusion the performance of the “Installers” was first rate as one of them called the corporate “Best Buy Office”. Between the installer and the Office (with our agreement) an arrangement for a quick replacement of the failed machine was then scheduled for 9/11/23. On 9/11/23 the failed washer was replaced with a new one with no issues being experienced to date.

Great machine, deep tub, settings for all types of laundry loads, clothes damp after rinse and spin. A little loud at the start but I am very happy with the washer

We wanted a simple machine without a lot of bells and whistles and that is what we got. Only complaint is limited product documentation. My old machine let me choose water temp for wash and rinse. This one lets you choose water temp but I couldn't find anything that confirmed my hope and suspicion that rinse temp would always be cold. Had lots of vibration on rinse/spin cycle. through trial and error, we determined we could pause the cycle, it would unlock, we could redistribute the load, and all would be well. Of course that means someone always needs to be in earshot of the machine when it is running. Not optimal for busy lives, but at least I now think I understand my options. Oh for the good old days..

The Washer seems to work well but I do not like the new model washers where the lid locks so you can’t see how it operates nor can you add any last minute items to the washer you forgot about. I would feel better if I could see the process rather than just trusting it is getting things as clean as I would like them to be.

Like the efficiency, big drum and spin that removes so much of the water from the clothes. Somewhat noisy.

Washes extremely well. Large size. A little loud but it just may not be leveled correctly. Best Buy is coming out to take a look. Excellent customer service.

This is a very good machine at its price point. I picked this one based on its capacity and it having a deep water setting along with an extra rinse option. The deep water setting actually does fully submerge the cloths it water. The only cons are that it would be nice if it had an end-of-cycle chime and it is a bit loud overall but again at this price point… it is what it is. Tip: I slid an old bath mat under the machine between the feet and it noticeably quieted it down while running… acted like sound deadening.

Unfortunately the product required a service call repair in 28 days after install. I’m not happy with this product from the manufacturer. Technician repaired bad connections on pump and door lock switch!

Gets top score for it's washing capabilities. But I dropped a star because it's weirdly loud. Not a big deal for us, cuz the laundry is behind a door, but if you have any kind of an open concept, know that you'll be listening to your laundry. We bought it on sale at the outlet, cuz it had scratches on the sides. We also love that it has the old school actuator in the center. We had a HE top loader before this one, and it really manhandled the clothes.

Love the washer, but do not like that the lid locks. Never had that before and I always like to look to see how much water, etc. and in order to do that, I need to pause the cycle and I am afraid it would start over or something. Just don't know why the lid has to lock. I'm old school, so not used to this new feature.

Great price, our last washer lasted 18 years, hoping this Maytag does to! Like the capacity, quick cycles, very easy to use.

About to put my house up for sale and my old machine (Whirlpool front loader) gives up on life. Cool. So, rather than spend 50 bucks a month at the laundromat (when did THAT happen), I decided to be an adult and get a new one. I'm not a rich girl so I did my research and settled on this one. It is a little loud but not terrible. Also, it's not hard to start like everyone says in the reviews. You push the button and it goes. The only thing I don't like is the fabric softener dispenser. I use fabric softener ALL THE TIME so it's annoying. The spin cycle is a BEAST!
