So far, it's working well, though I don't like all the restrictions the machines place on how you have to load them. I prefer that the water dissolve the detergent before putting in the clothes, but this machine requires the lid to be closed and locked before it will fill with water. I also don't like the fact that you must use a second, automatic rinse cycle if you're using fabric softener. I do like the fact that it has an old-fashioned agitator. Since it won't let me open the lid, however, I can't tell if it's using a generous amount of water. It says it's "Deep fill," so I guess it is. I do think the wash time is inordinately long. Old Maytag washers used to be able to wash a large load in about 30 minutes. This one takes about 90 minutes.

Great washer. The quality is great and there is tons of room to wash a bunch of clothes at once. Other people have stated that it is a lab machine, but we do not think so.

The Washer seems to work well but I do not like the new model washers where the lid locks so you can’t see how it operates nor can you add any last minute items to the washer you forgot about. I would feel better if I could see the process rather than just trusting it is getting things as clean as I would like them to be.

Washes extremely well. Large size. A little loud but it just may not be leveled correctly. Best Buy is coming out to take a look. Excellent customer service.

This machine has quick wash cycles, energy- and water-saving filling options, and the buttons are easy to use. It’s a great investment and excellent value for the price. The only downside is that it can be a bit loud.

This is a very good machine at its price point. I picked this one based on its capacity and it having a deep water setting along with an extra rinse option. The deep water setting actually does fully submerge the cloths it water. The only cons are that it would be nice if it had an end-of-cycle chime and it is a bit loud overall but again at this price point… it is what it is. Tip: I slid an old bath mat under the machine between the feet and it noticeably quieted it down while running… acted like sound deadening.

Like the efficiency, big drum and spin that removes so much of the water from the clothes. Somewhat noisy.

I purchased this Maytag washer and dryer in February this year . It’s a good purchase and functions well. It will clean years clothes. I’ve had no problems. Maytag’s are the best. Good service with Best Buy!!

Gets top score for it's washing capabilities. But I dropped a star because it's weirdly loud. Not a big deal for us, cuz the laundry is behind a door, but if you have any kind of an open concept, know that you'll be listening to your laundry. We bought it on sale at the outlet, cuz it had scratches on the sides. We also love that it has the old school actuator in the center. We had a HE top loader before this one, and it really manhandled the clothes.

Great price, our last washer lasted 18 years, hoping this Maytag does to! Like the capacity, quick cycles, very easy to use.

Love the washer, but do not like that the lid locks. Never had that before and I always like to look to see how much water, etc. and in order to do that, I need to pause the cycle and I am afraid it would start over or something. Just don't know why the lid has to lock. I'm old school, so not used to this new feature.

About to put my house up for sale and my old machine (Whirlpool front loader) gives up on life. Cool. So, rather than spend 50 bucks a month at the laundromat (when did THAT happen), I decided to be an adult and get a new one. I'm not a rich girl so I did my research and settled on this one. It is a little loud but not terrible. Also, it's not hard to start like everyone says in the reviews. You push the button and it goes. The only thing I don't like is the fabric softener dispenser. I use fabric softener ALL THE TIME so it's annoying. The spin cycle is a BEAST!

This washing machine has such a large capacity - we can fit our comforter and bed sheets all in one load and probably could fit even more. All of the different settings are great. It's not terribly loud (I think about normal noise for a washing machine) but it does a really great job. Delivery to our house was fantastic - no issues.

My Maytag washer does the job, however, it is the loudest-running machine I have ever owned. It does a great job of getting clothes clean, but it is very loud when changing cycles and overall very noisy.

Really Great Washer! Cons: Wash cycles are longer than old skool washers due to new low water usage requirements. Pros: Large capacity for big loads! Gets clothes nicely clean and fresh. Settings perfectly adapt for both bulky items and delicate clothes.

I am very happy with this washing machine. It is easy to use and has a nice selection of the temperature of water. It has a nice selection of how I want the clothes washed. The inside washes towels and blankets with ease.
