Love the washer, but do not like that the lid locks. Never had that before and I always like to look to see how much water, etc. and in order to do that, I need to pause the cycle and I am afraid it would start over or something. Just don't know why the lid has to lock. I'm old school, so not used to this new feature.

This washing machine has such a large capacity - we can fit our comforter and bed sheets all in one load and probably could fit even more. All of the different settings are great. It's not terribly loud (I think about normal noise for a washing machine) but it does a really great job. Delivery to our house was fantastic - no issues.

Gets top score for it's washing capabilities. But I dropped a star because it's weirdly loud. Not a big deal for us, cuz the laundry is behind a door, but if you have any kind of an open concept, know that you'll be listening to your laundry. We bought it on sale at the outlet, cuz it had scratches on the sides. We also love that it has the old school actuator in the center. We had a HE top loader before this one, and it really manhandled the clothes.

Now that I've had this for a while, I'm pretty pleased with it. It does a great job cleaning clothes without beating them up. Mine does have a fabric softener dispenser built in the agitator so that was a nice surprise. Once I got it properly leveled, it has stayed that way…no moving around. The only reason it's getting 4 instead of 5 stars is that, as other reviewers have mentioned, it is NOISY. Thunks, clunks, grrrrrs, clicks, etc. Don't even think about installing it near where people are trying to sleep. It's best suited for a basement installation.

Great machine, deep tub, settings for all types of laundry loads, clothes damp after rinse and spin. A little loud at the start but I am very happy with the washer

The washer works very well, efficient and smooth running. The only problem we had is with the lock system and resetting the cycle after we stopped and opened it up. There must be a simple solution.

The washer does a good job, but you have to wait a little bit for it to get going.

Really Great Washer! Cons: Wash cycles are longer than old skool washers due to new low water usage requirements. Pros: Large capacity for big loads! Gets clothes nicely clean and fresh. Settings perfectly adapt for both bulky items and delicate clothes.

Needed something that was easy to use for my elderly mom. She was often confused by the one she had and wanted an agitator like she had a long time ago.

I am very happy with this washing machine. It is easy to use and has a nice selection of the temperature of water. It has a nice selection of how I want the clothes washed. The inside washes towels and blankets with ease.

Like this washer very much. We needed a large capacity washer for our larger and bulky items. Most comforters, pet beds, area rugs and such handle well in this washer. Only 2 things I would improve: the drainage seems to sometimes leave things in the well that would easily be able to drain away and washer requires wiping at this point, and the fabric softener fill well is difficult to clean. This should be removable.

Liked: We like the quality of Maytag. Our prior Maytag lasted 32 years. So far the new machine is performing as expected. Disliked: The machine is a little more noisy than expected, but is the same as the prior machine so we are satisfied with the sound.

This washer does a good job cleaning your clothes. It has a large tub very heavy volume washing. The negative is that it did not come with an instruction manual. So there was calls made to Maytag to only be told to download a manual from the web. Cheap move to save money for the company. I would have given more stars in lieu of having instructions.

High capicity washer, many cycles to choose from. What can I say, its a Maytag!

This washer has performed well. The drum is very large. The controls are easy to understand and use. My laundry seems much cleaner than compared to my old front-loader. So far, I'm very pleased! Best Buy installed my washer and hauled away my old one. The delivery was seamless!
