Our last Maytag dryer & washer lasted a little over 6 years, before repair costs made it a better choice to just buy new. In fact, since we spend over 4 months of the year away from home, and only do 2 loads a week, our old Maytag machines probably would only have lasted less than 6 years if they were used full time. Consumer Reports still lists some models as reliable, however.

I love the agitator and stainless drum. The capacity is huge! I'm also able to get the water level higher than with other washers on the market.

Bought this as a matching pair with a Maytag dryer that I needed to replace. Both were 24 years old and the washer was still going strong. I have only had this washer a couple of weeks and initially I thought I had made a mistake in purchasing a High Efficiency unit but after experimenting with various settings I can now understand how it works. Noise is mentioned in a number of reviews and I believe that this is due to the many changes that take place during the various cycles that are different to those on the older models. Overall I do not find this washer any louder than the last one, only different. Loading the washer correctly is critical, clothes should be placed in small piles around the perimeter of the drum and heavier articles spread evenly to prevent off balance during spin cycle.

Perfect size for the two of us - cleans super well and quiet. And it is attractive - even though it lives in a closet!

This May tag washing machine is easy to use, saves water and quiet. It is a top loading washer with 11 cycles.

So far very pleased with product. Not too load when washing easy to use and fantastic large capacity. Thumbs up for me.

i am so pleased with this washer. I love the ease of use, the size (not too big) and that it cleans clothes better than my old whirlpool ever did.

I have had my new Maytag washer a few weeks and have found it to do a very good job. I have never had a High Efficiency washer until now and saw some very negative assessments of their performance. I have carefully followed the operating instructions that came with the Maytag using many different sized loads and most of the washing options, and it has consistently done a very good job. I can recommend this washer based on my experience.

One of my request was to have a washer with an agitator and this does. Love the large tub and the many choices to use for what you need.

This washer works great, it’s fairly silent, the only issue I have is with how water collects up in the tray where you add laundry detergent after every wash. You can remove the detergent tray separately to pour the water into your utility tub, but the other 2 trays don’t come out, so water remains.

This washer works better than the front load washers hands down. But if I had it to do all over again I would get a washer that has a full agitator. Plus they are cheaper than this washer and wash a lot better for a working mans clothes. If your a desk jockey it will clean your cloths just fine.

This is an excellent washing machine. I love having the agitator and the deep fill option. Clothes come out clean and very well rinsed.

Great for washing heavy duty items, as well as, everyday items such as clothes and towels. Very quiet.

I bought this after reading many reviews and I have been using it for a month. It has an agitator which was important to me and I believe does a better job than without. The write up and details did not mention that it had a drawer for soap and softener which I would have preferred not to have. Also no where did it say it was a high efficiency washer, but it is.

The delivery was as scheduled, and they called 30 minutes before arriving. The washer wasn't difficult for us to install. It seems to do a good job washing all types of clothes, linens and towels. I haven't tried a comforter yet, but the capacity appears large enough. It does take longer to complete cycles than our previous machines, but I guess that's the trade off for using much less water. It is a bit deeper than our others, so that may be a problem for some. So check that out at the store or get a grabber.

We have had this washing machine for a month and love it. It is easy to use, has options for heavy loads that need extra cleaning power, and it does a great job of spinning the water out of the clothes. It has settings for delicates that have worked well for cleaning our cold water delicate items. This is a great machine!

We love how compact the washer is and yet takes in such huge loads! Washes and rinses so well, we love how efficient this washer is.
