We've been limping by with a 20 year old GE machine that has been great so it's quite a treat to have a new machine. We've only used it for about one week now but it appears to be very well-made and works really well. We hope it lives up to the Maytag reputation of old and if it does we'll continue to be very happy. We do like the glass top view feature among others.

PLEASE READ FULL REVIEW FOR DETAILED EXPERIENCE OF WASHING MACHINE AND SUPPPORT EXPERIENCE of Washer MVW6230HW i purchased this washer roughly in May of 2020 from Best Buy, and I deeply regret ever buying the washer dryer pair of these models. Ever since i purchased the washer, ive had nothing but issues, problems, or malfunctions. Maytag/Whirlpool customer support is horrible, because it seems every time I call and let the support team know whats going on, they have bad traceability of the conversation and progress of my service repair. The service repair company they sent out to do my service has really nice people who want to help, but have horrible communication skills and bad traceability of phone calls and conversation as well. Every time I call, I have to start from scratch on what happened with the washer, where I am at with getting my parts, service, and everything and its extremely frustrating. Ive had problems with my washer since I purchased it, but thought that maybe I was doing something wrong or maybe it was a one time thing and that once I started using the washing machine it would get better, but that was a mistake on my end from not saying something right away. The washing machine has so many issues, glitches, malfunctions.. So first issue, when the washing machine does a wash, a lot of the time it would fail to properly rinse and drain the water out of all the clothes or towels. So when I would run another rinse and drain cycle, it would start and run the cycle for about an hour on repeat before giving up. 2nd issue, if I were to just try to leave the clothes and towels in there and just run a brand new cycle to start over since the clothes and everything was soaking, it would start the cycle, rotate the agitator and the bin a little bit, sound like its going to start, and then just stop and a message saying “cycle complete”, and you would be stuck with wet clothes or just the machine from starting a new wash. So it seems apparently something in the washings machines cpu is saying to ignore the fact I wanted to start a new wash, and it would just stay stuck 3rd issue, I use tide pods, tide soap, other soaps, that are HE efficient or HE compatible, and at the end of almost every cycle, it says it failed the suds reduction, that I wasn’t using the right soap. Even if the clothes got washed properly and rinsed and rained correctly, the fact an error message comes up every time is very concerning. 4th issue, the technology on the front panel and the interface is just very…clunky and slow and doesn’t seem as intuitive as other competitor brands like LG or Samsung, and the app is also poorly designed and clunky as well, so I don’t bother using that either. I honestly don’t want to make this review any longer because people might not be as inclined to read it, but my overall experience with this washing machine is absolutely horrible. Even if I got a defective machine, the thing to make it worse is the maytag/whirlpool customer service is really horrible also throughout the process. From trying to get the parts to the repair company, to get over to my house and get it serviced has been an absolute nightmare, and seems like I might not get a replacement even under my 1 year manufacture warranty, which is about to expire soon, and maytag wants me to pay hundreds for an extended 2 or 3 year plan which I refuse to do because I might just be forced to go get an LG or Samsung pair of washing machines or dryers. My overall recommendation is to ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS WASHING MACHINE AND DRYER COMBO. Its been a absolutely horrendous experience and dreadful time just trying to get maytag and whirpool to do the right thing and get the machine fixed or replaced under the 1 year manufacture warrenty. The service company said I needed two parts for my washing machine, and I am going on 4 MONTHS of this, and still no response from Maytag/Whirlpool who is supposed to reach out to me with an exchange and replacement. Honestly I would just love my money back to buy a different pair since I know this is a newer model and the first of its kind compared to the 2019 version.

We returned our impeller for this agitator and it is working good so far.
