It can't handle comforters or sheets. Had it "repaired" by authorized repair center; still under warranty but it still has the same problems. Our electricity went off momentarily. The machine froze and would not cycle or even turn off. Googled repairs - turned dial (like opening a safe) several directions and still won't start. Best Buy says it's past the return period and won't support us. Long time customer very disappointed with Best Buy Customer Service and Maytag.

From the get go, it does not stop if out of balance. It just keeps draining and reloading water so rinse cycle repeats over and over until you notice the wash is taking way too long to do! What a waste of water! We have it in our summer home and so it isn't used daily or that often. More recently, it has begun this horrific, ear piercing screech when beginning a wash, when beginning rinse, and beginning spin cycles. Of course, it is out of warranty. WASTE OF MONEY (over $800 AND CHEAPLY MADE.
