Cooktop is fragile

I was encouraged to buy an extended warranty in case we dropped something on it. Manufacturer's warranty doesn't cover it. Unfortunately I dropped something and cracked it. No coverage at all. Repair is almost as much as a new range.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oven heats veeerry slowly. Mine broke after 7 years. Some may say that's fine but seriously, 7 years? The burners on the stovetop are badly sized. The back burners are too small for just about everything and the front burners, are okay. The glass surface does not stay clean. The oven light broke in the first year. Grease gets in between glass panes in door and you have to disassemble it to clean it. And the oven timer is awkward. Also, if you select an oven temp and want to increase or decrease it you have to cancel and start over instead of just having an increase and decrease button. In other words, this model is not good at all.

STEAM CLEAN IS NOT SELF CLEAN!!

However, I did not like that it does not have self clean oven. When the oven gets dirty, must clean immediately after a spill & place a glass container w/water for the steam clean & it doesn't clean it. Otherwise, it will be stuck & not come off. Steam clean is not SELF CLEAN. So I am "Back to Basics" style cleaning... on my knees and scrub scrub scrub.
