we love our new maytag. we also loved our old maytag but alas the main bearing went out after almost 18 years. that's why it was such an easy decision to replace it with another maytag. it was priced very reasonably considering all the fancy features that we didn't have before. one thing, it is noticeably quieter only because we weren't aware that the main bearing was making so much clanging. clothes come out looking fantastic.

This washer is JUST ok. I purchased this washer as part of a set. This washer had all the features I wanted in a top-load machine. It wasn't too expensive, but it also wasn't cheap. I didn't buy a front load b/c I've had one in the past and hated the extra work I had to do to clean the machine. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy something cheaper with better reviews and less features, or spend the extra money on a better machine. Pros: The washer is huge and you can wash blankets and large loads with ease The app actually works well Cons: This thing gets LOUD Auto sense - for water fill level is a joke. It never puts enough water in the load, so I always select the water level myself. Literally, if you allow the washer to "sense" half the clothes will be dry, for the entire wash cycle.

Good washer with one annoying feature

It's a good washer, I like that you can fit a giant blanket into it. I don't have many complaints with it except one huge one: every 20 loads or so it forces you to do a "Clean Washer with Affresh" cycle. It FORCES you to do this (there is a procedure you an do to reset the washer therefore reset the counter that I found but this also resets all of your saved settings.) This drives me absolutely nuts. It doesn't give you a warning either, you load up your washer, then it refuses to wash the clothes because it FORCES you to do the Affresh cycle. So you either have to unload of all your clothes that you just loaded and run the Affresh cycle, or reset the washer and lose all of your settings. Also note that this cycle always seems to come up when you really really need to get the laundry done. On those days when you're running late from work, you're running out of clothes because you been busy all week, all you want to do is go home and get some rest so right when you get home you throw in a load to do the laundry... and bam! You're being FORCED to run the HOUR LONG Affresh cycle. I'll be honest, had I known about this feature I would probably not have bought this washer even though it is an otherwise good washing machine. You have been warned.

I purchased this washer and matching dryer last month. The washer is working great so far. The drum is large and deep. I'm 5'8" and I need to be on my tippy toes to reach the bottom of the drum at its furthest point from me, but I simply rotate the drum so that the last piece of the clothes is closer to me to grab. You may need a step stool if you are shorter than me. To date, the only issue I encountered was not being able to pair up the washer and dryer to the Maytag app. Also, the finish cycle buzzer is not sufficiently loud enough to hear it, as the washer is in my basement.

Wanted to replace the Maytag appliances with the same/similar ones in our new home. Purchase date indicates 11/24/21...that's when we ordered it for a delivery after 1/13/22. It's close to what the older model was. This model has added the WIFI capabilities. Nice to have, but not (in my opinion) necessary to have. Will need to see how it works/behaves over time. Thought this was to have the center agitator, but doesn't. Not necessarily a negative. Just don't know at this point.

Machine does not stink of mold, it DOES

I tried to get away from my regretful selection of a front loading washer, purchased about seven years ago. Bought this Whirlpool Top Load washer with very large tub. While it does NOT stink of mold and fungus, as the front load washer always did, it only ever partially fills with water. Clothing items are hardly even stirred in the long cycle and some portions of the load never even get pulled under the water! Imagine washing clothes by putting them near soapy water, but never allowing them to touch that soapy water. All this when the tub is not filled more than 40% of capacity with laundry. So, while this machine does not stink of mold, it DOES just "stink".

It is a very good machine so far, is which is why I rated it a 4 not 5. Which is The first load was emergent and very soiled. The machine filled minimally [I figured I should let it work as described to get the true picture of the machines functionality] as stated and cleaned amazingly. No trace of soil or smell. (The items were very soiled) I am very impressed. The controls take getting used to; this is a very modern washer and my last machine was 20+ years old.

The product is generally good with a minor weakness on heavier items triggering a balance problem. The Best Buy website needs work. After you transact (model, price, delivery date) you get an email moving delivery date back. Understandable someone else could buy the last unit while you are finalizing your transaction. Not understandable in 2020 that you can close your transaction and find out an hour later you can’t get product on promised date.

The washer as some cool features that I really like. The built in water faucet is very convenient for pre wash. The only con is the fact that remote botton has to be manually pressed in order to operate the washer remotely.

Taking me sometime to get use to as I have always had a traditional washer. Think it will be great when I do. I don't think this would be a good washer if you are a short person as I am 5'8 and can just reach the bottom to get things out. I wanted one that would fit my king size comforter and this worked.

The Maytag 13 Cycle Top-load washer has a lot of cycle options and comes with a extra power button that pretty much covers all of our washing needs. We have washed some very dirty napkins and towels using the extra power and the results were excellent. We had the washer for a few weeks so far and there is not a single problem. The washer capacity is huge compares to our old front-load one.

The tub is very large, and you can barely hear it running even with comforters/bedding bulky items. The stain removing in insane! Clothes I thought were ruined are now clean. Very easy to use. I bought this at an outlet and got a crazy deal! Def. would buy again.
