This dryer is a piece of JUNK!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The bottom of this unit is made out of brittle plastic, not metal, and for the 2nd time since it was purchased in July 2022 it has disintegrated, leaving the machine tilted and unable to be leveled. Additionally, now the drum is grinding and clunking, sounding like a tank is in the house. Why anyone would build a dryer with a plastic base? Even with having bought the extended warranty, we are moving on from this disaster.

Do not buy this dryer with steam function.

There is a manufacturing defect involving the steam valve that causes it to not shut off, filling the dryer with water, and flooding water onto the floor. This happened the first time I used the dryer! I've been waiting months to get the steam valve replaced but there are no parts available. Both Maytag and Best Buy have been useless in resolving this.

Dead on day 31
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This dryer started making a terrible grinding noise on day 31 and is now unusable. I now have what amounts to a 1K piece of scrap metal in my laundry room and am drying clothes at the laundromat. I have requested service from Maytag but they have a 3+ week wait time. Based on this experience I recommend going with a different brand.
