It allows us to individually adjust the volume especially at night when one of us wants to go to sleep while the other stays up to watch a movie/program.

I would have given 5 stars, however range is barely 30 feet. Possibly other factors involved, maybe new headphones will have better range. Bose in very near future.

Great, But

I was getting this so the kids can't hear me watching tv late at night, but this thing is loud enough to awake them whenever I do.

Defective unit? No sound in headphones.

So the pass through function worked. I was able to pair my headphones. But I was not able to get sound into the headphones. I tried to adjust the output volume and the volume lights never lit up. I tried turning my headphone volume up and nothing. I reviewed the instructions step by step and realized I had connected the transmitter correctly. I returned it because I could not get sound in my headphones.
