Okay, I'm not super familiar with the series or developer history but what I do know is this is a remaster of the games from 3DS on to the Switch in one package. I'm not sure if there's anything else to miss about the port than that. So, what's this about, it's a turn based strategy game with tons of gameplay to go through, a story mode, challenge maps and all the Mercenary Saga games rolled into one. It's quite the package. The story is a bit ...well, it's there. The characters are interesting at least, but if you're looking for a RPG strictly for the story this one is a bit lacking. There's one problem though, I dunno if I can recommend this because the game, while it's got a lot of stuff packed on the cartridge and it's a fine deal, really it is- the same package is 15 on the eshop. So, you're paying 25 more for the physical version. I love my boxed copies but it's hard to justify the added cost. If it was a limited run game release where you got a full color manual and it was a limited launch? Well, even still this would be 5 bucks more than one of those. Agh, I recommend the game, it's fun and will keep you entertained for a while but the big issue is the cost. But honestly I don't think it's not worth it, it just hurts to see that it's so much cheaper digitally.

This is a collection that includes Mercenaries Saga: Will of the White Lions, Mercenaries Saga 2: Order of the Silver Eagle and Mercenaries Saga 3: Gray Wolves of War. If you enjoy Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem, these games are in the same genre. Not as good music or story, but still enjoyable all the same.

Somewhat B-tier SRPGs, but good fun and nice to have the whole series together and on a cart.

If you are looking for something to fill the void of Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem or Tactics Ogre games then this might do the trick. It's a stripped down version of those but it's still very fun and you get 3 games in this one cartridge. For that alone, despite them not being super long, it's probably worth it.

Graphics are ok but should have been updated a little bit and the AI could have been improved. The story and plot are ok but just a little to generic. Like a graphic chess game kinda boring after a while.

Mercenaries Saga Chronicles is a tactical RPG. The game looks, feels and plays very similarly to Final Fantasy Tactics. Granted this title is not a knock off of the classic PS1 game, and has a wonderful identity of its own. It's worth your attention, and is a fine handheld RPG to take with you on the road as well.

This games approach to multiple 'party' system is extremely unique and i don't think I've seen something like it before...depending on who you start with, you will experience the game thru their eyes and have the ability to pick up each party member as you play through....love the game!

If you're a fan of games like Tactics Ogre, Disgaea, X-Com Enemy Unknown, Advanced Wars, and Final Fantasy Tactics, this game will be right down your alley. It includes the original 3 Mercenaries Saga games in a must have trilogy! You can easily give you hundreds of hours of gaming.

This trilogy collection is a nice addition to the Switch game library, the games are reminiscent of the Final Fantasy Tactics games, so if you're into those, you might enjoy this collection as well.

Love me some strategy rpg and saw this game at Best Buy. With my GCU (sad to see it to). I had to say yes. Game is fun, simple, and easy to play. Story is decent enough. Play it.

Like most small scale tactics games, this one is a lot like final fantasy tactics. The stories aren't as deep and are pretty standard fantasy fare, but the characters themselves are good. The leveling system leaves a bit to be desired as each character is locking into the kinda of classes they can be. This means you end up with your favorites who are smashing everything and then "the other ones" who you will get stuck with due to plot reasons and get rekt. It's kinda just how these games work out. It's a lot of fun though if you like tactical rpg's.

This is a great strategy rpg. A good value because it has 3 games. It has a old school look to it, which gives it its charm.

I have been waiting for this to come out because I wanted the physical copy and not the digital version because I love final fantasy tactics and this game reminds me of that game

It is not a well known or famous game but I found this to be interesting. An RPG with many interesting levels will keep you entertained.

Plays very similar to Final Fantasy Tactics, so if you like those games this is a must have. Also a good game to scratch the Tactics RPG itch!
