So Simple & Secure, Anyone Can Set It Up

Finally had to upgrade my network system at home... My house is long and I used to have to run two separate routers to cover the home. This creates issues because you would get hung up on the bedroom router and not switch to the living room one. I researched these mesh type systems a lot and this one is by far the best. The app is super easy to set up, and the units are automatically recognized via the app. Another mfg makes you scan codes on each device... these simply showed up and began working. As far as the app, I have complete control of my network and who is allowed to access it and for how long. I love the control and being able to shut down a device, say a 11 year olds tablet ;). Mesh networks have been around in communications forever and it is great to finally have them for home networking. I am considering adding two more nodes in an effort to cover my entire L shaped property out to the detached garage...

My family moved from an apartment into a larger home and were having tons of internet issues from dead spots to constant lagging and buffering from using multiple devices at the same time. We had enough and decided it was time for a new system and Eero was recommended to us. The setup was easy and the app is very user friendly. The system was up and running in a few minutes and we have never had issues since! Even with all is of using streaming services and online gaming at the same time we have yet to experience lag, buffering or any dead spots throughout the house. I highly recommend Eero for everyone's home internet!

I tried and returned multiple WiFi extenders. The eero was so easy to set up and offers great speed and reliability. I installed Nest cameras that were constantly dropping and advising WiFi signal was took week for HD video. Since installing eero my cameras have not dropped once and my devices including streaming on TV have been seamless. I’m very happy with eero, it was worth the price.

I had previously been a loyal customer of Linksys, but after multiple failures of routers for no good reason, other than linksys have an end of life timer to keep generating sales I decided to look elsewhere. Eero was on the pricier side of devices but I must say I am completely happy with spending the extra bucks. Set up was easy, the extenders allow me to have great coverage, inside and for the perimeter of my home. The App is great and allows you to monitor and control usage for the family (really the kids). Parenting has shifted from having to confiscate devices to simply setting schedules for usage. Works consistently well. You will not regret it

I was having issues with wifi extending throughout the whole house, especially the 2nd floor and basement. The eero Home Wifi System 2nd generation fixed the wifi issues throughout the house. The speed is excellent. The instructions state to put my Fios modem/router as a bridge, but I was just able to turn off the wifi signal on the Fios modem/router and it worked, so I can use all of the features of the eero app (if you bridge the modem/router, the eero app features are limited). Only had 1 day where I was having connection issues, had to reboot and reset the system and everything went back to normal working conditions, this hasn't happened since. I did contact eero customer service by online chat and they were very helpful. Got a great deal for the 1 eero + 1 beacon by price matching it for a lower price from a competitor. I love that it is the same network SSID throughout the house and a simple set up process. I do recommend this product if you pay a little over $200, but at the current price tag of $300 it is quite expensive.

I have been fighting a Wifi range battle at my home for several years. We have a large house (7000 sq ft) and have never been able to get Wifi signal to the corners of the house. This is particularly problematic as we are shifting to pure streaming and cutting cable. I have tried wifi extenders and tried buying stronger routers but none have been successful. In the case of extenders, they never worked the way advertised. This product is NOT one of those previous extenders. Im not a tech nerd so I'm not sure what the difference is, but this works beautifully. It is super easy to set up with an app you have to download. simply plug in the square box into the ethernet cable and place the other two into wall plugs some distance away. If the satellite boxes are too far away, the app lets you know and you can find the ideal distance. At first, i was worried about the range and thought about buying one or two more plugpoints but it's not needed. This has solved my chronic wifi range issue so simply. If you have a big house, this is necessary.

I have a 3100 SQFT home and opted for the eero + beacon model. I have the eero on the first floor and the beacon plugged in the hallway of the second floor of my house. I get great signal throughout my home even in the basement. All my TVs stream from the internet in order for us to watch anything as we are cable free. I consistently get 100Mbs internet speeds throughout my home using the eero. I also like the fact that I can manage my router through an app on my phone...I can see what devices are on our router, kick people off, put the kids on WiFi pause, and even when I'm not home, I can see what devices are logged into the eero which tells me who's at home and if anything is draining WiFi speed. All these features add up to a huge win for me, despite the cost of the system...I'm very happy with my eero home network.

It was easy to setup on customers phone. Simple to teach her the network ap. Worked in the kitchen that was a dead spot for Comcast new router. Only problem was that it did not work with there existing router/modem. Had to replace with a cable straight modem. Then program this device as router. Should have bought one with four plug in range devices very pricy but it was simple and worked. Used same password and network name in old router and the devices on network auto configured themselves to the new router. Recommend doing this saved a lot of time.

Was having trouble finding a good mesh system that worked will with my xfinity internet. Used google wifi in the past but after getting wireless boxes I had to get a new gateway and couldn't enable bridge mode as the wireless boxes run only off of the xfinity gateway with no way to change networks. I tried the xfi pods which sucked, then tried the google wifi system, then the google nest wifi system and all were terrible coverage wise. Home isn't large only approx 1800 sq feet but kept dropping signal at end of home and all router points would constantly lose signal from each other. Read reviews about this Eero system and figured I'd give it a try. WOW is all I can say. I should have gotten this from day one. Setup was super simple, and the coverage is constant and speeds are amazing. Even in the furthest end of the house, I am now constantly getting over 200megs download where with the others I'd be lucky if I got to 50megs. Would highly highly recommend for anyone looking for great coverage. Oh and the built in nightlight may seem like an unnecessary feature, but it did come in handy navigating in the middle of the night.

In the last 2 months I cut the cord on Directv, and switched to streaming. This "whole house" wifi system is perfect. I paired it with an Arris cable modem, and the signal is strong throughout my house. Plus the download speed is consistent at over 170. I do not get a loading circle anymore, and HD content streams beautifully. This is a fantastic unit. Setup is a breeze, and the Eero app guides you well. If needed, their customer service is fast and first class.

We live in a 2 story house with a large outdoor patio. I had a netgear router/extender prior but could not get wifi reception in patio area. The eero was simple to set-up, even for me. The wifi signal is strong outside as well as inside the house. We also set-up 4 wireless security cameras that need a strong signal and they all work great. We are very happy with our new eero system.

I have a small house but a couple dead spots, one of which is where I'm on my phone the most often, too. My wife's iphone 6 had no problem with wifi reception via the Xfinity cable box. But my new iPhone x was another story. bought the eero, setting up was incredibly easy, and it worked from the moment I finished setup. It has not failed yet, these several months later. I completely forget about it, which is the perfect kind of technology. The only time I even remember I have it is when I see the app on my phone and go 'oh yea Eero, how's it looking,' and everytime it is a-ok. All my wifi devices are connected to it now, and I'm off the cable box for wifi entirely. If I had a switch, I'd be off the hardwires for the cable box as well, but the Eero only has a couple ports. A simple switch would solve that. All in all it's the perfect solution. Do NOT buy a range extender unless you want slow wifi. Go all in and get modern technology in the form of a mesh system. Add as many as you need, but I have an 1800 sf house with two floors and the two unit system has been fine.

Our former router was ok. Unfortunately when streaming we get a buffering message on the screen or a try again later message. To solve the problems we rebooted the system. Even after reboots parts of our concrete slab home just did not receive a signal. It was frustrating. After receiving suggestions from some tech specialists and the Best Buy Home tech specialist, Riva from Texas, we opted to try the Eero Mesh WiFi System. Now this Eero mesh system is solving the problems. We have consistent WiFi connection throughout the concrete walls and floors. No buffering, no reboots. The lower level has a full strong signal. The main Eero base is next to the modem, the beacon is on the lower level. The system covers about 2000 square feet without a problem. Connection was easier than I thought it would be. Thus far, we are pleased.

My home is a very spread out 3700 sq. ft. Have been using a NetGear Nighthawk AC1700 which is a really good router, although it's more than 3 years old and I suppose showing it's age. Between the router and the kitchen there are appliances. Between the router and some of the bedrooms there is a laundryroom with the main breaker panel for the house and lots of wires, in addition to 240V for washer and dryer. And nearby there is the fireplace with metal chimney liner, and home entertainment system with lots of wires. I've been using a new NetGear extension i think it's AC7000. It couldn't get a strong enough signal to perform well, especially at 2.4 GHz for my son's Play Station. In places where the signal was weak, performance was very low. I bought Eero and 2 beacons. The main unit is in the MBR closet behind a wall. Not the best location with the wall, but it's centrally located. Moving it to one of the corners of the room helped a lot. One beacon is in the laundry room with all the wires, and another is in a hallway not far from the main unit, but it gets the signal around the refrigerator and ovens. It took about a day for the eero to adjust itself because performance improved noticeably. I've tested with my iPhone and now get over 100 MBps in most of my house including those difficult bedrooms. I'd say most of the house reads over 200 MBps, which is what Comcast provides. It's also wonderful not to have to instruct people on switching to the range extender's different SSID, and not to have to select 2.4 or 5 GHz bands. I also found that the speed measured on my laptop is often a lot slower than my iPhone. I'm convinced it's my laptop because rebooting often increases the measured speed. So, it took some playing with the location of the units, but it works remarkably well. So, I'm pleased with my base and two beacons, even though I have ethernet cabling to most rooms in the house. This is a better solution because of the flexibility of placement. Again, the trickiest part of the setup was moving the units around and then waiting for them to optimize themselves. I'm quite pleased.

This router system was the easiest to set-up I have ever had. Almost plug and play simplicity. We recently moved to a multi-story home and were going to need range extenders which are a hassle to set up and connect. This system is so easy and secure. It was very easy to move the remotes to and from various locations to maximize signal strength. No cables or power packs required. Well worth the money.

Great upgrade for my SLOW internet speeds

So I'll write a less common situation review addressing those individuals like myself who live in the 'sticks' and have horribly slow internet (5mb down and 750kb up---yes under 1mb on the up!). So my internet bandwidth is essentially a one computer or one streaming device pony, where if I try to do much more than that--well its not great. However, I struggle with the fact that I own an arlo system, a few wyze cams, several streaming boxes, 40 wifi connected switches/devices, etc (a modern techy home with low bandwidth). I'd been running on an airport extreme with an airport express (as a repeater) for years and its been a reliable workhorse. However, I was experiencing latency and some slow clicks between web pages, buffering, etc. I reviewed a ton, was looking at Orbi (because I like to tinker), but went with Eero for the stated reliability. So far so good. I noticed an immediate improvement in lower latency and snappiness for web page loading. Buffering streaming videos went down significantly. Overall maintained speed was much better. Again all at horrible bandwidths as I have SLOW internet. So the system is really efficient. As others stated setup was super fast, but BEWARE...no PPPOE interface on Eero (so I rigged my Airport extreme as a router--no wifi, to suffice). Once done I was setup in 10 minutes with 2 beacons running too. Great range and plenty of coverage in a 3200 sq ft house with the yards largely strong as well. I really like that you can identify all your WIFI devices, pause them, see their data consumption, see new devices added, etc. That really helps me manage the system more closely to prioritize devices. So far super smooth. I think the price is spendy and $400 is up there, but if it just 'keeps working' without much attention or any failures, I think its worth the value. If you have SLOW internet and you're looking for something to make it better--this is a good solution.

Was paying for the fastest internet out there but internet in the house was slow and didn't reach through the house. Was skeptical because I thought I needed a router that had antennas that stood up. This was what I needed all along. My speed is faster then what I'm paying for and it reaches all through the house now. Well worth it!!!!

For a even better experience opt for the 3 eero system. More money but even better than this. Beacons are better when space is limited
