This is should be the standard strap. Compared to the stock strap, this is much more secure and comfortable for longer period of time and reduces the amount of times you have to adjust because of it. The headset also feels lighter because the distribution of weight is better

This strap is simple, comfortable, and provides an excellent service - namely allowing for a snug, weight-bearing, comfort-fit. I've heard concerns about the strap breaking, and I've only been using it a month, but it has been perfectly fine for me at this point.

Very comfortable, feels more sturdy on my head. I feel like I can play it longer with the weight being distributed more evenly on my head.

This strap was decent and offered more support than the strap that originally came with the Oculus/Meta Quest, but like the title says, it broke today, which is shortly after the two year extra protection I bought expired. I was just putting the headset on like normal when it snapped. I'm not a super heavy VR user either, I play a few hours a week at most. I'm not sure if I can somehow get a replacement, bummer that I paid for extra protection and I don't believe I can use it now...

I highly recommend the Quest 2 Elite strap with battery. This one is great for getting a tight fit on your head but the Strap with batter overs a very useful counter weight.

Game changer, the original strap that comes with the oculus does not hold a light to this. Total worth the purchase especially if you are swapping between people

It’s nice enough. I wanted and really needed the one with a battery. But it is not available and probably won’t be for quite a while so I ended up buying this one and an aftermarket battery solution. A long -cumbersome, expensive way around to getting what I really wanted and needed in the 1st place and it looks pretty bad compared to the just getting the one with the battery built in . ( I got the Best Buy protection plan on the strap so I wouldn’t have to worry about breaking it.) It is a lot nicer than the original strap but you will still need an after market face cushion (also unavailable at this time) to get completely comfortable for long Vr sessions.

Best thing ever! It fits your head so perfectly and you don’t have to worry about your headset coming off! Tightens really easy and will stay like that too! 10/10

I was told to purchase this immediately upon purchasing the oculus so I don’t even know what the original head strap feels like but I can say that this one is sturdy, well balanced on your head and as comfortable as would be expected. The padding is sufficient but Im sure it can be improved on which is why Im giving it 4/5 stars. Over long playing time it makes my forehead hurt even if it’s not cinched tightly. Would absolutely still recommend.

The head strap is a little pricey but it works great compared to the one that comes with the Oculus Quest 2. I have less strain on my head and feel more confident when moving my head around quickly. It was beyond simple to take off the original one and install the new one.

Easy to adjust for different sized heads makes switching between kids hassle free. Holds better than the standard headband.

I love my Oculus Quest but noticed that my head starts to hurt after wearing it for some extended periods of gameplay. So I decided to pick this up and it had made extended periods of gameplay more comfortable and more secure.

So much better than the included strap. I was able to 3D pin a nice mount that snaps on the back to hold a 5000 mah battery pack so I dont have to worry about battery life, and it has the happy side effect of balancing the Oculus Quest 2 better.

Love the fit comfortable. Very durable when wearing . Doesn’t slide as much as the one that comes with it

This is a definite need for system. Without it headset is heavy and falls down on face. Though this type of fitted strap should of came with original unit, I suppose it was a way to make consumers make additional purchase for optimal use. It does make a huge difference. Only giving it 4 on rating as it should not be something you have to purchase afterwards. Should of been equipped with Oculus from the start.

Easy to attach and adjust. The original strap isn't bad, it's just a pain to readjust for different heads. It shouldn't be $50 though, more like $25, so four stars.

I am amazed at how much this improves the comfort and usability of the Q2. It makes the headset feel lighter and it doesn’t rest on my nose like it did with the stock strap. Over priced but that’s why the price dropped $100 from Q1 to Q2. They expect you’ll add this.

I hadn’t Rift S (with cables) and decided to get rid of it and get this instead. I’m glad I did. Having no cables is amazing plus it remembers different room layouts so you can go to other rooms and it remembers the ply area automatically. With Air Link I can still ply all my PC VR games without any noticeable lag or latency. You just have to hardwire your PC to your Ethernet otherwise it will disconnect a lot. Battery life is about 2-3 hours depending on the game and you can use an external battery pack to prolong that if you want. Charge time is about 30 min - 1 hour. Make sure that sunlight doesn’t hit the glass lens on the inside. It will 100% ruin the headset and Geek Squad told me they won’t cover it if that happens. (Stupid I know) other than that this was a great choice and I’m glad I upgraded.

completely upgrades your experience in VR, it's night and day for me. i have a lot of hair so the stock strap wasn't too secure, it had to be uncomfortably tight. the Elite Strap is a lot more accommodating and the back is much more secure and stable.

It is very easy to use lightweight and it feels very good on the back of your head
