I bought two of these Oculus Elite Straps and both broke within 3 months of use. The plastic band on the side cracks and brakes making them unusable. Trying to work with Oculus for a replacement under warranty but they are making the process painful. I have it two stars because they did work great for the three months before breaking.

Faulty product, dont buy. the elite strap is a cheap plastic headstrap made by a large corporation, shortly after using it if any stress is applied (such as figiting with it or moving around) it will start to crack. picked up my headset this morning to find the back to be broken.

If the elite strap would not break this would be a 5 star product. the original one I purchased broke within 3 months of lite use. received new one and the new one broke after about 10 total uses in 1 year.

Buyer BEWARE! This didn't even last 1 month. Oculus had said the issue was fixed on these but I guess I got one of the bad batch. Stinks that Best Buy's return policy is only 15 days! it should be 30 days because of issues like this. I am 45yrs old so I in no way miss used this headstrap. I game VR stiing in a chair. It was clearly defective. Honestly, I ordered a different 3rd party headstrap which is much better and it is simply not cool that I can't just get a refund on this product through best buy. In the future I will be finding another store to make purchases with because of this kind of issue with Best Buys HORRIBLE return policy time. Lesson learned and it cost me $50.

Don't buy this. I purchased this October 27th, it broke November 19th, less than a month later. I took very delicate care of it, the strap couldn't handle me taking it on and off and eventually broke.

After the first week, the side snapped. I read after that this was happening to most people w/ defective straps. Today marks the end of the strap. :( Sadly, the comfort rate is really good, but quality & value drops after only having for a month. I just hope no one gets the defective ones.

Buyer Beware! These units are JUNK. I pick mine up the other day and it cracked in two. I have very light use on my unit. Oculus has extended the warranty period for these, but good luck getting a replacement. The had me jumping through hoops looking for receipts and sending photos, but since my Oculus Quest 2 unit was a gift, I assume I won't be getting a replacement headstrap from them, even though I had the receipt from Best Buy. There are other options for VR and Oculus should be one to avoid.

My daughter and I each bought one of these for our oculus quest 2's. Within a 12 hour period BOTH of ours broke in the same exact spot. You can see cracks in the plastic hard pieces that snap into the headset. This is NOT ok on a $50 item to last not even 3 weeks.

Please buy any other strap. This one is notoriously known for breaking and replacement straps break as well. Mine broke after barely 80 hours of use. FB/Oculus appear to be aware of it but are have yet to implement any design change in response.

This strap has a well-known defect. The plastic isn't soft enough, and will eventually crack with normal use. It broke only a few days after I got it, so I RMA'd it via Oculus and got a replacement, which broke about two months later. Not worth $50 or even $10. I'm just lucky it didn't break while I was wearing it.

This headstrap will eventually break. I have had two replacements now and I bought it just 5 months ago. I do not even use it daily. They have extended the warranty to 2 years but it’s a hassle of around 3 weeks to receive a replacement as you have to send it back to them and submit lots of information and pictures. This is more comfortable than the elastic strap that comes with the device but you still suffer from pressure put on the front of your face. As the Oculus Quest 2 is still front heavy due. A halo strap is the only way to alleviate this issue.

Plastic piece on the side broke already

I loved the headset, but only after a couple of months the plastic piece on one side snapped in two. A week later, the same thing happened to my son's. Poorly made. I would rate it higher, but in light of both of ours breaking in the same way, it's impossible for me to give it more than 1 star. I think that is fair. Oculus was willing to replace it, but after the same thing happened to my son's, I'm going for a refund instead. It sounds like a lot of people have had this problem, so hopefully they will redesign the structure or change the materials so that it doesn't happen anymore. But I don't know which models are defective and which ones aren't at this point.

The head strap arms will break on you with even just normal use. I used the elite strap gently for a few months and one of the arms snapped while simply removing the headset from my head. Oculus Support did replace the strap under warranty, but the product itself is still poorly designed.

I had this item not even that long. I took good care of it and did all I can to make sure it was properly used. Well turns out this item has a flaw and just about every unit out there is breaking either from the left arm or the right arm. I believe Facebook stop producing these to re-design it better. I like the style and look of it so I hope they release a better version.

The strap will break within a month and then you'll be waiting for Oculus customer support to send you a replacement (which will break again, repeat forever). Garbage.

Worked great but broke where there are multiple reports of these failing. I take care of my purchases. I was picking it by the band which caused it to snap right off. 70 hours of us e, sole user. Best Buy returned it without issue.

Not so "Elite" Quest 2 Strap

I purchased this "Elite" strap on January 8th and now on February 10th both semi rigid side straps are broken. I am 43 years old and treat my Oculus with great care when wearing and removing it from my head, so other then just bad craftsmanship and materials, I am at a loss. I tried to contact Oculus for warranty replacement the day after it broke on 2/10, and have yet to hear back from them on Feb 21st. Best buy says un-returnable?????? So this is now a $50 piece of junk. Stick to your included flex fit band and don't waste your money here.
