Customers are satisfied with the Meta Quest 3's improved graphics, mixed reality experiences, comfort, and immersive gameplay. They appreciate the higher resolution, clarity, and weight reduction compared to previous models. However, some users have concerns about the battery life, head strap comfort, potential for motion sickness, and the high cost of the device and its accessories.

So, i bought this in may 2024. and i have got to say this thing is awesome! the standalone graphics are great, plus you can play pcvr on it! i usually play pcvr and this thing works really great with it. and if you have a vr ready pc, definitely buy this because other headsets for pcvr are much more expensive. however, if you want to play standalone, it is also great! it has about the same performance as a gtx 980 ti, and you can also make the graphics better using sidequest! some games i recommend are batman, bonelab, beatsaber, contractors, and more! overall if you are new to vr but dont have thousands of dollars this a great pick! durability is also really good (i have 2 chaotic kids so you can trust me) ps, dm me hk12 on discord if you want 30 bucks in quest cash when buying your headset

The Quest 3 is a huge step forward for budget friendly VR devices. I upgraded from a Rift S and it is a night and day difference. I primarily use it for PCVR, most notably DCS World and MSFS, but the few mixed reality games I tried were quite fun as well. Now for the issues. This has got to be the worst headset I have ever worn regarding comfort. It is evident that Meta's plan was to all but force you to buy their Elite strap because between the rock hard and rough facepad, to the cheap banding, you can't wear this for more than 1/2 hour to an hour max without getting a headache. I have ordered a BoboVR strap out of principle of how obvious they are with trying to make you buy the Elite stuff. Secondly, and the only other con I have found honestly, is the atrocious battery life. This thing will kill its battery within an hour or two tops depending on what you're playing. And even with the link cable, that you have to purchase separately, that will not even keep it charged while plugged in. It just slows it a bit. It seems like you could use the USB-C cable that comes with it if you have that port on your PC, except it is 3' long so you literally can't move with it. I have tried 3 different longer USB-C cables and they will not work with this headset so fair warning.

So fun! Big step up from the Quest 2 in terms of optics, graphical power, and comfort. Having those pancake senses really alleviate the issues of finding your eyes’ sweet spots every time you don the headset. Battery life is a little lackluster at 2-ish, but an USB C cable and 10000mAh power bank can extend that by several hours.

I had the Quest 2 before buying this one. I could instantly see the difference in resolution. The pass through capabilities is also a game changer. I haven't explored a ton of the AR apps yet but the ones I have tried are pretty impressive.

I use my VR headset EXCLUSIVELY for PCVR. I used an Oculus Quest 2 before, but then upgraded to the Quest 3. The pancake lenses are a game-changer, but other than that, since PCVR doesn't utilize AR, there isn't much of a difference between the two other than the addition of AR. It's nice that you can actually use Passthrough to go grab a drink or something while still in the headset. If you are looking to upgrade a Quest 2 for PCVR, don't bother with the Quest 3, as there aren't any upgrades other than the pancake lenses. Even though the resolution is higher on the displays, realistically it looks very similar to the Quest 2. This is definitely an excellent upgrade if you are upgrading from a Quest 2 for standalone gaming, using the headset's ability to play games without a PC.

The Quest 3 is breathtaking, the visuals are much better than the Quest 2 and the form factor is much smaller and more compact. Everything feels much more refined on the Quest 3 vs. the Q2. Full color pass through is awesome and mixed reality is very cool. The headstrap is a big upgrade but still not great, I recommend an aftermarket one from BOBOVR. Also the battery life is pretty good! Enjoy!

    Quest 3 is Simply Amazing!!

So I've been using the Quest 3 for several hours now (I admit, way too much of this time was playing Premium Bowling VR).. but I can safely say, WOW what a stark contrast this headset is compared to the Quest 2! That's not to say it's unfamiliar, because it's totally not. But with color passthrough (being able to see the real world around you in color), the Quest 3 simply feels much closer to what the future of VR/AR should be- you no longer feel isolated or closed off from the world around you. But yet, all the immersive experiences/games/apps look even better with the improved resolution & pancake lenses. I love the redesigned TouchPlus controllers, they feel ergonomically comfortable in the hands. One standout app for brainstorming/organizing your thoughts as an overlay in the world around you: Softspace. Check it out!

This thing is amazing the new lenses are so good. No more screen door effect. Everything runs quick and snappy. It's pretty light weight. Very comfortable. I owned the quest 2 and this is so much better. The hand tracking is also infinitely better. Its a little pricey but cheaper than others.

Good visuals, a better upgrade of the quest 2, great for playing pc games in VR, only downside is the battery life, which could be better. Great for standalone VR too, just make sure you have your headset plugged in for longer playtime. Overall good headset for VR. Would recommend.

Great! But Meta Ruins the Experience

I do love this headset a lot. It is almost completely amazing. And no wires, unless charging, is a plus. I love the passthrough and the ability to play in your room setting. The games are mostly great. The battery life is not great but I bought an extra one; with a better strap than they supply. And it works great. Also love the ability to play steam games. However, META aka FB, Instagram, or Whomever; has ruined the experience for me. They left some bullying comments up on Instagram and I replied to one. Because I despise bullies. I then got a threat from Meta that they will delete my account for bullying! Yet, if they are against bullying how was I able to respond to that bullying comment? What kind of hypocrisy is this lol? I fought it and lost and they took my comment down and left the other up. No big deal; but on principal this is ridiculous and insulting. Bots or no Bots. The second response, denial, was real people. I have spent $2K+ on 2 headsets, accessories, and games. I would've deleted the comment myself. But no, they had to be anti "Stand up to bullies" and delete it themselves. So now, I will be deleting my own accounts myself. And selling my 2 headsets. I cannot deal with their hypocritical policies and threats. And obviously I am not buying my Finance a surprise Quest for Christmas, I am getting the PlayStation headset instead. I have never, since my PS1 days, have had any issue with Sony. I will miss the Quests because I do like them. But I just can't allow their fun crushing behavior in my Magical World. Also, the FB app lets you share posts but then says you violated a policy (Kittens of all things that allegedly had hidden spam?) But yet they leave that original post up too? They are so weird. Scammers galore in all the comments. But, Yep, Still there. But mine violated their false policy and deserved a threat of deletion. :P They won't lose much by losing my business but they went out of their way to deny my request. So there is that... I still recommend the headset itself. But not Meta's policies.

The VR headset is awesome, truly a breakthrough in consumer technology. The display and lenses alone are a massive upgrade from previous VR headsets I’ve used in the past like the HTC Vive. The clarity is truly unsurpassed. On top of that that, the mixed reality is absolutely incredible. Being able to walk around your house with floating screens set up is amazing. It really does feel like the future to watch YouTube on virtual screens while doing chores. I find myself even wanting to watch movies and tv shows in my Quest because it’s more fun and sharper than my TV (which costs more than this headset). For $500 it really is a deal. The value it adds to my everyday life is worth it. Gaming, productivity, and just simple relaxation are improved. It really feels like the future has arrived. If I had one nitpick, the base strap needs to be replaced right out of the box. But grab something like the BOBOVR M3 and you are set.
