The Meta Link Cable does what it needs to do when connected to the Quest 2, offering good speed and plenty of distance for an enjoyable VR experience. The connection is stable, and the cable length allows for great mobility. However, the outer cable feels cheaply made and not as durable as expected, especially given the price. For what it offers, I think it’s overpriced—you’re paying a premium for the Meta brand, but the build quality doesn’t quite match up. It works fine, but a sturdier design and a lower price point would make it a much better value.

Made my quest 2 resolution look way better, since i didnt have stable internet i had to buy this and it helps now. Gives me plenty of cable length and seems very durable. I just wish it wasnt sooooo expensive for a cord.

Works as advertised. Very good through put speeds, I run microsoft flight sim with it in vr. A bit on the expensive side though. There are other cables out ther for half the price.

The reason I'm giving 4 instead of stars here is that Meta's official link cable works as it's supposed to, BUT if you're wearing the Elite Strap with Battery you must unplug it from the headset first in order to plug in the link cable. Technically this isn't the fault of the link cable but rather Meta's design for the Quest 3 itself (which I must assume to be deliberate as opposed to a blatant oversight from a Trillion-$$$ mega-corporation). Perhaps at some later date a new cable or accessory (which will add still more $$$ to Meta's coffers) will become available to enable users to have the link cable and Elie Strap with Battery plugged in simultaneously, but as it is now it's enough of an annoyance to dock them at least a star here.

These seem to be the only usb C types that charge the oculus efficiently compared to others. Works great but can be delicate as these are the 2nd official ones I’ve purchased. 3rd if you count an off brand that didn’t work as well. Priced too high.

Its a cable. It is really long connecting from your pc to your play area and it works but the price for this official cable is just a bit much. Better off with other ones that will do the job at a more affordable price in my opinion.

Super long cable, a lot longer than I thought it was gonna be to the point that it ends up in a pile at my feet sometimes but it works great for connecting to PC with Quest to play PC games

As a CABLE, its fast, its premium, and it functions as the product that it is. Altgough, if youre thinking it will aid in the performance of your quest, or the quest PC software. It will not.
PCVR using a linked quest (non air stream/wifi) has historically been a lackluster experience filled with bugs and artifacts.
I kept the cable, but it doesnt help with the poor PC link experience using the quest ecosystem. Most streamers and "pros" are using virtual desktop or steam link.

No issues connecting my Quest 2 to my PC. Very long cable, doesn't get in my way during gaming with my setup.
Waiting for more updates to Oculus Link to take advantage of the Quest 2's power.
Docked a star due to it being very expensive.

Does what it needs to do, if you are looking for a PCVR experience using Meta's comfortable headsets then please get this! This is a whole lot more reliable than using the wireless connection, hardwire is the way to go! Very easy to use, just plug it into your headset and direct to your PC, then get the Oculus app on the PC and when you turn on your headset it asks you to enable Quest Link! Very easy!

As a VR enthusiast, with a bit of a budget, this was going to be a bit of a bite for me. It's costly, yes, but it provides so much more than the $16 mockerys you'll find on Amazon. Trust me, I tried to loop around it and find some other way, but the connections with those never work out. This one? It's got grip, it's got a hold, and it transfers data between the two like a couple on a phone date. That's a terrible analogy, but my point is this: If you're looking for that "cheap" alternative to the cable, just bite the budget and snag this, because those aren't going to last you long and be as good as this one.

This Meta Quest Link Cable might come with a higher price tag, but it's a premium investment for the serious VR enthusiast. The enhanced bit rate and superior build quality ensure a seamless connection and high-fidelity visuals that cheaper alternatives can't match. Plus, its durability promises longevity, saving you money in the long run. I've tested it extensively, and the performance is consistently top-notch, making it an essential accessory for my setup. I give it a solid 5/5 stars.

I didn't really get to test them out for long, but they worked just fine for the short period of time i had the quest 2. I ultimately returned it because it doesn't seem like something i'd play a lot.
as for the cables they worked without any issue. a bit pricey though, ive seen 3rd party cables that do the same thing for cheaper

People will tell you it's stupid to pay this much for a cable, and they're right normally. This cable though has saved me more times than not the past month, I've tried external battery packs/power banks and a few other USB C cables (some from USB A to it and others directly from C to C) and the official Oculus Link cable is the only one capable of sustaining a fast enough charge to actually increase the battery rapidly while in use.
I'm playing 90hz through virtual desktop in intense high settings steam games with all the encoder and performance checks at the max in virtual desktop settings so my CPU clock speed is actually running faster than the stock Q2's would be -- yesterday the headset died while wirelessly playing a Population One match (luckily through Steam so I could still talk and hear my teammates through my bluetooth headset), I ran over to the link cable and yanked it out of my computer and plugged it into the wall outlet next to my roomscale play area and bam within SECONDS the headset booted back up and was showing 3% battery already. I was able to reconnect to virtual desktop and get back in THE SAME MATCH! within about a minute total turn around. Kept playing while plugged in and before you know it the headset was at 30% charge -- this is IMPOSSIBLE to achieve off a 16 foot cable from any third party. Looks like the Oculus fiber optic whatever gimmicks in this cable actually pay off.

Good cord, it works, very long for maximum mobility. But I am really not happy about paying 80 dollars immediately after paying 300 for the headset, because the one that came with the headset was way too short to do anything with. Again, the cord works well and has been very useful, but a cord should not be 80 dollars, when it's probably possible to get a cord like this that works fine for 20. No fault to Best Buy, of course. Oculus chooses the price.
Bottom line, its a needlessly expensive cord. Works. Good length. But its 80 dollars for a cord.
