Customers are saying

Customers love the Quest Pro's comfort, face tracking, and improved graphics and controllers compared to previous versions. Many appreciate the lightweight design and clearer lenses, resulting in an enjoyable VR experience. However, the high price point and subpar battery life are frequently cited as significant drawbacks. Some users also noted issues with passthrough and occasional performance inconsistencies.

The colors are better and the IPD adjustments result in better clarity. But, though the screen is better, it isn't drastically so. The real improvement, for me, is in the controllers. Tracking is substantially more accurate and responsive, and the removal of the rings is a huge win when you are playing games like Synth Riders.

Pros - Display clarity, thanks to the new lenses, is amazing. There's no blurriness, no god rays...The headset is somewhat comfortable and usable for long sessions of working or playing...The device build is solid and thoughtful. Fit is easy and quick to adjust. Cons - None of the content runs on Quest's native resolution, so everything is more pixelated than it should be...The new display, although more colorful in bright scenes, completely fails in dark scenes. In most content I tried (Vader Immortal, Green Hell, Gloomy Eyes...) there was an amber glow around the edges of the display. It's so pronounced it completely ruined the experience for me....Red Matter 2, supposedly optimized for this device, with eye tracking on and increased resolution, flickers more than on Quest 2....The controllers kept overheating and shutting down sometimes after 5 minutes of very little use...If Meta continues supporting this device, I'm sure they will be able to address most of the issues over time. However, with the limited number of units sold, I fear it may go the same way as the original Quest 1. For the price, the experience should have been more polished.

Was a little nervous about pulling the trigger on this guy as most of the youtube videos you see on it talk about how it's just okay and that it's not for gaming, it's for biasness. I couldn't disagree more. I used a Quest 2 with all the add-ons to make it decent, and this thing is MUCH more comfortable. Only complaint i've had so far is that even with the blinders added, there is a little too much light coming in from the nose area. But i'm sure someone will sell a cover for that as well at some point. If you're happy with your experience on the Quest 2, I would just stick with it. But if you're looking for a little more, and don't want to spend the same amount on the other VR headsets with the base stations, this one is a no brainer.

Feels premium. But not 1500$ premium. Should honestly retail at 1000-1100. There is a reason the day these headsets released they've been on ebay for 1000-1100 new or "used once". The only reason this gets 3 stars is because of the controllers. The cameras on the controllers make the accuracy of the hands VERY clean. The controllers are very high end and awesome for beat saber. Huge kudos to meta here. The field of view is about 15% larger than a quest 2. Which isn't very impressive. Basically every other headset out there at this price gives you a better picture and experience for this money. The box comes with side blinders and charging cables. That's it. For the price you'd expect a full blinder so you can actually be immersed. The headset being totally open at the bottom kills it. Also no link cable included.. what? Battery life is about 1.5-2 hours in airlink. You can tell this is geared for enterprise use. Because only a business with mad disposable income would be whack enough to drop 1500$ on these. With the pimax Crystal, vive elite.. and others coming out at the same cost or 500$ less, with MUCH more to offer, this meta pro will not age well.

I have been waiting for the price of this to go down, and now that it finally did I had to buy it. I own multiple headsets, including the HP Reverb G2, Pico 4, and the Meta Quest 2. The Quest Pro's clarity is unbeatable by any of the other headsets I own, hands down, and considering the reverb and pico are both true 4K that's a big statement. The trick to the pro is the foveated rendering + pancake lenses, and it works beautifully. I was considering the HTC Vive XR Elite, which pretty much has the same pancake design and resolution, but no foveated rendering... Meta just pretty much crushed HTC before they even released it officially by lowering the price. Worth every penny.

When I first picked up the QP I was skeptical, but soon turned into expanding and exploring. Being concerned over motion sickness, I started with games like Golf,Fishing,Bowling, and even Pinball. After some time I discovered some meditation applications, as well as some slick CAD applications to measure, capture and record dimensions and could envision some solid construction/implementation efficiencies added! I ended up pitching use someone comedically to upper brass at my employer, think these can offer awesome time/cost savings if used in the right manner, not to mention VR workspaces/meetings with team members in other locations versus traditional remote meetings, could lead to less distractions and more controlled environment of sharing links, stories/reading materials, etc.

Headband is not comfortable, normally need to loosen the strap at somepoint during my 2 hour sessions. Pancake lenses look great. I use it for gaming. 2-2.5 hours on full charge playing online multiplayer. Controllers are nice. However i find my hands sweating/cramping after using them intensly for an hour or more.

The quest pro is a wonderful AR/VR headset, and while it makes many strides in the AR space, tbats about where it stops. The pancake lenses are an improvement, but it would be nice to see a improvement in battery life or in resolution, neither seem to be better than the Quest 2! Hold on for the upcoming Quest 3 next year!

This does everything my Quest 2 does better than my Quest 2 does it and it has a lot of features the Quest 2 lacks. It's still early days for the software and hardware, but both the Quest 1 and 2 received significant updates and refinements over the first year. The face and eye tracking are excellent. I have a supported tracked pass through keyboard (Logitech 375s) and it is very good. The hand tracking is nearly perfect. The pass-through color fidelity needs improvement. I have no regrets really. If you can afford it and you want the best experience available this headset is for you. I saw in another review a complaint about jagged edges and screen door effect. I would encourage that reviewer to send it back for an exchange because there is something wrong with their unit.

It's the best headset at this moment, hands down, and ticks all the boxes I've always wanted from one. | Rear mounted battery for not only a balanced weight ratio, but for preventing thermal issues when charging and playing?: CHECK | Pancake lenses resulting in a thin profile and crystal clear view of the display? : CHECK | Wireless?: CHECK | Face and eye tracking?: CHECK | Incredible controllers with the most accurate tracking available?: CHECK | Wi-Fi 6E support for AWESOME pcvr streaming?: CHECK | Open faced design that prevents sweat buildup?: CHECK | There are only two headsets i will be purchasing in the future and the quest 3 is not one of them. I will upgrade with the quest pro 2 and whatever Valve's next headset is.

I wanted this to blow me away. But it still is a bit under par for the price point. Quality is barely better then the Quest 2. The main thing that is better is the hand controls and head control. but it's still heavy and warm on the face. Passthrough is a total waste considering they distort the view making passthrough a pain. Plays games fine and is backwards compatible with Quest 2 applications but my biggest complaint is for the price point the screen is still very pixelated. This may be a hated review but this device is VERY expensive. I expected a little more.

Great new features over the Quest 2 but not enough to justify the price. Same current gen CPU with improved tracking both eye and controller. Eye tracking is wasted as it isn’t used often. Wait for the Queat 3

I really like it, the first headset I can wear without getting a headache and dizzy. It's the BEST choice for wireless VR and soon they'll have 6E going and that will help with latency. Looking forward to years of use, Best Buy was great during this and they even price matched for me like pros!

If this was the same price or even close to the price of the Oculus 2 it would be okay but it is not worth anywhere near the retail price I'm afraid and I am a vr/mr/ar enthusiast. The pass through is okay but not amazing the resolution is okay but not amazing the field of view is ok but not amazing and really it feels like it hasn't been thought out that well as there is not many apps that you will run in this that will make a huge difference to you in comparison to the Oculus 2

The display is very crisp but a little hard to get adjusted. this VR system will work with your PC as well. I have tested it with a few Steam games. Other then needing to download some software to make the link and have a good USB-C cable, it was very easy to setup.

It really can’t be justified at 1500 dollars. I have to return this and stick with my Quest 2. Doesn’t support 120 HZ from what I can tel but also has a negligible advantage in resolution.

I have the quest 3 and the pro headset, the quest 3 headset has clearer visuals but the pro controllers feel more accurate and premium. I wish the quest 3 had a pro controller option from factory and not have to buy separate.
