    Metal Gear is still SOLID!

This is an amazing collection for the PS5 includes the original 2 NES games (+ the Japan version of the 1st NES game, which is slightly different), the PS1 "Solid" game that defined the series, the PS2 sequel and prequel, all of the PS1 VR training missions, and a lot of bonus content about the designers, the characters, and behind-the-sceens insight. NOTE: This collection was already previously released for the PS3 & PS4 and I don't see anything extra added to this PS5 version, but i love that this keeps the MGS games on the most current console. ALSO NOTE: This includes the original prequel MGS3: Snakeeater - NOT the newly remastered Snakeeater that recently came out.

    Port not a remake

The collection is just a port, not a remake of any kind, of the PS3 HD collection. MGS1 is a direct port of the PS1 version and MGS2 and 3 are the HD upgraded versions from 2011. These are not going to be any better on PS5 then they were on PS3. That being said I will still take any opportunity I can to replayed these games.

If you love the old game then you know already! And if you’re new to tactical espionage action this is a great collection of the series at its best! Amazing story driven and complex gameplay allows for many play styles and play throughs. All from a day when completing challenges got you more than a “trophy”.

Don’t know what the complaints are really about but like what did you expect? A fully 4k with ray tracing complete remaster of these games? You know what you’re paying for and if you don’t like what you hear or what they’re selling then just don’t buy the game.. Overall good collection and a good way to play it on modern systems. It’s not going to be something brand new and if you played it already you already know how good these games are. Overall solid collection and can’t wait for vol 2.

This is a great game for the metal gear solid fan. Just like the games you played in earlier consoles , the only thing I don't like is the controls, it's a bit complicated but for the most part the game is great.

Yeah I waited a while to get this. Once it dropped down to $19.99, I added it to cart and used some reward points I had saved up and got it for even less. These games don’t offer much of an improvement from the HD versions that were already released on ps3 and the 360. Nice to have this collection though for current gen if you can get it cheap.

Great collection after the updates the team made to the game. My only wish is that MGS4 was on it, but that seems to be stuck on ps3 forever.

Collection of some of the best action games of all time, that have all held up (mostly) over the years. The stories are great, the gameplay is engaging and the bonus content is fun to go through.

Full disclosure I haven't gotten too far in at the point. I've bouced in to the 3 main games to have a look and I've started in on MGS1. I've played the original versions extensively and this is a good piece of nostalgia bait for me. Biggest disappointment, and the reason i didn't give 5, I didn’t think the graphic upgrades were as good as I hoped they would be. Other than that the old school gameplay is there. Im really looking forward to the Psycho Mantis fight, can't wait to see how they updated it for the new system. I'd always recommend these games if you've never played them regardless of my gripe about the graphics. If you've played them before and would like to have them all in one collection it's a good buy. Side note, i still have original copies of MGS2 & 3, not MGS1. This was a way for me to get the physical copy.

3 great games for a decent price. Very disappointing the games don't output in 4K and why doesn't MGS1 run at 60 fps? 2 and 3 do, but that's a given nowadays. Load times are non existent which is great. Great for fans or those that have never played the games. Just disappointed about the technical aspects.

While this is nowhere near as great as the Legacy Collection on PS3, Metal Gear Solid Master Collection is absolutely worth the value. There are 5 excellent games in here with dozens of extras fans will love. Don’t skip on watching the digital graphic novels too!
