It's short. (That's hopefully not what she said)

I think it's a great game overall and finally brings some much needed storyline to Big Boss after Peace Walker. However it only took me a couple hours to get through the story (and the base). There are side missions to do. Lots of them actually, but it's doing different thing on the same map. Most are also time trials, which I absolutely hate personally. You also do not have the ability to carry or switch to all the weapon types you come across in the base. Considering you could switch to any weapon you found before a mission or swap mid-battle in previous installments, this comes as more of an annoyance than realism. The lack of co-op or online head to head combat makes things seem a bit dull also Whining aside, everything else about the game is fantastic. The ability to stop an alert when you're detected is a great improvement and of course the graphics are excellent even on the PS3. The story is very detailed typical of this series and does make you wish Phantom Pain was out already. If you think 30 bucks is too much for a short "demo", then waiting for a price drop is understandable. But if you're not concerned about 10 bucks and don't want to wait, then this is also not a bad purchase. There is lots to do, just not things I particularly find fun for replay value.

Overall, the game gets you engaged then when you expect to see the story unfold it ends. Way to tease us with a $29.00, this game should of just been a 9.99 download from PSN. Pros: Story is exciting and rich while player gets to feel the new kojima engine. The alert and hide system feels more unpredicted and doesn't involve watching the timer count down. Getting caught is more rewarding now. Gun physics are also needed to be consider in this game. Cons: Gameplay and graphics feels a little downgraded from MGS 4: Guns of Patriots. But as seen on the PS4 the graphics are really nice. It is meant to be played on the PS4 or the next-gen consoles. NPC's are not so clever in this game, you can literately walk in front of them and they wont even notice you. No online what so ever involvement.

I love the intro to the game which opens like a big blockbuster movie. I also love snakes first appearance and the seamless transition from the intro into gameplay. I like the relatively open environment which give you multiple approaches to completing the mission. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the slow motion feature that let's you find the enemy who spotted you. That doesn't seem to be realistic. Also enemy's seem to continuously reappear or spawn after multiple bouts. Overall it stuck to its essence gameplay wise and being that it's just a prologue, it just a teaser and Im excited and can't wait for the main game, and hopefully it will release within 6 months because anytime after that I'm likely to forget about the previous story and controls of the game.

While I knew the game was only a prologue to the upcoming MGS game and that it would be short, it was just a little too short. This being the only reason for not giving it a 5-star review. However, the game comes with extra side missions and unlockables for replay value, which makes up for the short story mode. The game truly is fun though, and the storyline will get you excited for the continuation of the game. If you are a true die-hard MGS fan then you should definitely buy this game or at least rent it somewhere. For those that are looking to get into MGS, you might want to wait for the full game or try the HD version of an older installment

The Metal Gear games are set in a version of the real world's history, where dates and facts are closely observed, which leads to Ground Zeroes' missions beginning with the designation of 'pseudo-historical accounts. But this is clear: 'Ground Zeroes is explicitly 'about' and based in Guantanamo Bay. And as the repeating structure and evolving narrative are at pains to point out, black sites like this and their grey legal status are a tribute to bureaucracy's unerring ability to triumph over ethics and what is "right"

I've played several MGS games from the original through MGS IV. This game steps up the graphics significantly and continues the tradition of both steath and guns blazing action. Sound quality is quite good as well. This game is a bit on the short duration side but the price is now low and it's well worth what it now costs. The missions are fun to replay to improve stats and the level designs are quite good. If you are a fan of the MGS series, this is a must own and deserving of 5 stars.

September 1st can't come soon enough. This game is the prologue to the upcoming Metal Gear V Phantom Pain. The main story can be finished very quickly, my first play through was maybe an hour long experience (then only half that to beat it again). I wouldn't recommend spending more than $5 for this particular game only because it's meant to serve as a taste/test run for the hardcore Metal Gear fans. I waited until I could get it for $5 and it was worth every penny.

The story is gripping from the beginning with the dialogue and soundtrack. If you played portable oops or peace walker, it is a huge leap in game play. The story is like a part 2 to peace walker and just like the psp versions you can start capturing soldiers for your mother base. The bonus is that you get to use your stuff from zeroes into phantom pain. Replaying the game is great, you have a large map and smarter enemies so you can sneak around or make yourself noticeable.

Although this game doesn't take a long time to complete the first time, it has great replay value since it is an "open world" game in which you can take various different paths to complete the missions. Although not over the top violent, this game is not appropriate for most children. The graphics and sound are great and the price has come down a lot since the game was originally released. It's a bargain.

I have been a MGS player since I was a kid. This is the most different game of them all. Everything happens in the same place. There's a main story and side missions. It won't take you a lot of time to go through them. It's good advertisement for the next one that's coming out OR if you are not familiar with MGS, this could train your skills...then, please, play the other games, not MGS Rising though...

The gameplay is awesome and the visuals are amazing. It's definitely a great start to the full experience of Metal Gear Solid V. The only bad thing is that the game is very short. There is tons of replay value however. Another grip is that much of the story is revealed in the trailers shown for Ground Zeroes. Other than that, this game is definitely a must-have for fans of the Metal Gear Solid series.

The game was great in gameplay and the graphics and mechanics of the game are by far better. the main story mission is very short but you can squeeze out more of the game by playing the side missions and completing those missions fully. Overall amazing game but I think more could've been adding to the main story since it left me in a confusion and tons of questions. My opinion though, worth buying.

Remember playing the MGS 2 demo that came with Zone of the Enders? That is what this disc is. It is basically a sizable demo introducing players to the more open world design of MGS V. I had a blast with the tanker level in MGS 2 and this is no different. Messing with the enemy AI is as humorous as ever. However, the replacement of David Hayter as the voice of the Snake character was a misstep.

As my summary says die hard fans of the MGS franchise will want to add this to their collection. However, if your into gaming and expected at least 5 hours of game-play you will be sadly disappointed. Overall the game is fun and will go hand in hand with the upcoming MGS set to come out later this year but its too short for you to fall in love with. To konami: this should have been a demo (free).

Good game mechanics and interesting new take on stealth game play. I also like the weapons of the this game. One awesome new feature is the ability to get in and drive vehicles or just hide in them. When you get in the tank and drive slowly the enemy is not alerted to you. The game is short though, but it is more-or-less a teaser for the Phantom Pain that comes out next year.

The gameplay, in my opinion, has improved since the previous iteration. I know that the game is supposed to be an introduction to The Phantom Pain but for $20, it's very lacking. The main story is about 2 hours or less and the side missions use the same map with just different objectives so best thing would be to wait for a discount or get it second-hand.

Like all MGS, the game looks amazing. The gameplay is new but can be easily adapted. The downside, it takes about an hour to finish. I would prefer waiting for another year and have the full game. Looking forward to The Phantom Pain, and hope it's not as short. Keifer Sutherland is a great addition. Only acceptable person to replace David Haider.

I am a metal gear fan, I still have metal gear 2 and the NES console. Through the years snake has evolved, and the gameplay has always topped the last installment of this great series. This game is awesome for all who enjoy being stealth, or just want to hop in a tank and be reckless. I would absolutely recommend this game to my friends and others.

The game is too short with only one main campaign mission and a handful of side missions, though the degree of difficulty was pretty high(especially on hard setting). At least the price wasn't too high; though a long time fan of the series, it would be hard to recommend this game. I didn't try online play and am not even sure it was an option.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a fantastic prologue to the upcoming main feature, The Phantom Pain. The game-play is absolutely flawless. Controlling Snake is as smooth as butter; very easy to maneuver. The graphics are top notch and the story-line is fascinating. Definitely a worthy addition to the Metal Gear saga.
