Call me Ishmal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Actual don't since you play as Ahab but still, this game is amazing. Expect your typical Metal Gear Solid mind squeeze within just the epilogue as you battle the human torch as he comes after you on a flaming Pegasus unicorn while you fend him off rear saddle with a shotgun. Yes, it is literally that ridiculous. At some point a flying, flaming whale takes out a helicopter. Pick your jaw up from the floor, get out your wallet, and THROW all your money at the screen right now because this game is worth every cent.

Better then the last version.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some games as they grow the loose authenticity, this one so far is the best in my point of view, nice graphics and good story line.

So Realistic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There were times during game play where I felt like I was watching a movie in HD. Great job graphically. Gripping storyline too.

So Many Hours of Stuff to Do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give this game a 20 I would do it. From the opening campaign sequences to the online play Metal Gear hits all the marks. I've wasted countless hours just deciding what weapons/tools I want my base to develop. Having the ability to recruit staff to build your base takes time but is well worth it. So...many...side...missions. If you're a 100% completion freak like I am this will definitely take you a few months to a year (if you have a normal life where you have to work). Best Metal Gear yet.

Highly recommended
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played the first mission, then honestly stopped. I love the game don't get me wrong but im a completionist. I didnt get %100. On ground zeroes so thats the reason i stopped, so i can get the save transfer bonuses. What i've played so far is excellent i did the first mission but there are other things that can be done. So i replayed the same mission! Trying not to spoil anything.. bottom line its refreshing to play a gta style metal gear. Would be nice to play mg1 and 2 msx versions in this form!

MGSV-Phantom Pain
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I read the views and had to try the game myself. First of all, the first hour of the game was frustrating as it was all cut scenes. Basically, I had to wake up in a hospital and move my head, etc. It was purely frustrating. When i got past that, the overall flow of the game was great. Then the problem set it... After awhile all the side ops and missions become repetitive. I'm not a Metal Gear Solid die hard. I just wanted to try this game out because of all the hype. The game says you can play the game with stealth or gun it out. Here's the problem, if you gun it out, you don't get a lot of heroism rewards. I then tried the online game and was disappointed since they are all filled with high level die hards. As a newb, it was just pointless to play. Also.... Once you pick a class in online play, you are stuck with it!!!! Choose wisely!!!!

Great mix of stealth and exploration
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible game. Have always been a fan of MGS. The new addition of open world stealth has increased my love for it all the more. There have already been so many great moments of improvisation as a mission can turn sideways when a soldier wakes up, or a patrol switches leaving you with nowhere to hide. Only downside is you assault some locations multiple times for different story missions or sideops. However, the patrols change which forces you to adopt different strategies.

One of the greatest military games ive ever seen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is absolutely bonkers. There is so much to do and so many ways to progress. Unlike the Metal Gear Solid games of the past, this entry is the least story heavy and I haven't had too many interruptions for cutscenes like previous games sort of fell into a little too much. The combat is varied and precise. The mother base building quest is addicting and satisfying. There are endless amounts of content here and I've barely scratched the surface. Cant wait to play more

Some of the best gameplay of the year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MGSV is a delight to play. On PS4, the platform I experienced it, MGSV is a smooth, hitch-free experience. The gameplay itself is just amazingly unique and varied, allowing all kinds of different approaches. Besides the obvious choices between playing serious stealth or going in guns blazing, the game also lets you do plain goofy stuff. There are two problems though. First, the story component is lackluster. I got the "real" ending to the game and was left feeling quite unfulfilled. Second, if you're someone who gets "set" into your ways, this game might not be for you. I had to really push myself to experiment with the game's systems, because I found myself quickly getting into routines and finishing missions the same way. The game really shines however when you experiment and try all kinds of different equipment.

Metal Gear Goodness!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a fan of the MGS franchise, then you will love this new entry! The new open world method of tackling missions is a great addition which offers a good amount of replay value in order to strive for the best approach. *Just a quick note: if you have the opportunity to play the short intro to this game, MGSV: Ground Zeroes, that was released in early 2014, then you can download data from that playthrough which will give you some decent items in The Phantom Pain.

BEST GAME ON PS4 TO DATE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had held of on buying a PS4 for a year and a half because they did not have any games that required me purchasing the console. (I had already beat GTA V on the PS3). This games is a masterpiece. It should receive Game of the Year Honors. It has all of the great gameplay from the prior series and has managed to greatly reduce the cut scenes. It contains a lot of missions and side ops that will keep you busy for weeks, maybe even months if you work or study full-time.
