The FINAL Metal Gear MASTERPIECE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This indeed is the most funnest game since Peace Walker. I am currently on chapter 10, (only because I am trying to S Rank everything, lol. I've had some friends complain about motion sickness of a certain camera style, and there is an option to change it. I would go more into depth into this review, but I feel that this is something that is VERY WORTH your money and time. With that said, you should experience EVERY single aspect of this on your own accord/ time.

MGS, a consistently great franchise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simply put, this video game continues on the great legacy the MGS franchise has earned. I rarely play video games since I graduated college due to an active career, further education, and family. I surely thought I would never make the time to play games. That being said, if you are a fan of the franchise and are in a time crunch week to week, you wont be disappointed using some of your spare time to explore the MGS universe once again. I certaintly wasnt.

It's Metal Gear Solid, what more do you need?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game deserves a look for two simple reasons: 1) It's Metal Gear Solid 2) Hideo Kojima If you're a fan of third-person stealth action, then you'll enjoy this game. The world is very large and there is a ton of stuff to do. You can attempt your missions in all-out non-lethal stealth, or go in guns-a-blazing. The cinematic experiences are top notch (as expected from Kojima) and the gunplay is easily some of the most rewarding gameplay available anywhere.

For real gamers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon purchasing this game, I was intrigued by the fact that it's as life like as many other classic game titled including the uncharted series, the last of us and gta v. Without spoiling anything, the first chapter in the game is crucial.... TRULY INTENSE. I sometimes wonder if mission impossible was based off of this game. You will not be disappointed. Whether you've played previous metal gear games or this is your first go around, this game is a must buy.

Incredible!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past I could never get into the MGS series. I just couldn't get past the strict stealth aspect. Phantom Pain has changed my view. The open world and unlimited ways to tackle a goal is refreshing and addictive. I find myself planning different ways to attack and Fulton that highly trained soldier so I can add him to my team. Honestly, I haven't played much of the story missions.... I have about 6 days playtime just doing random things and side ops.

Instant classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't played a Metal Gear game since PlayStation 2. But after reading some reviews and hearing friends rave about it I bought it but didn't expect too much. To my shock it wasn't all hype that this game was so immersive and so in depth and compelling. This is a masterpiece. It has just about everything and is extremely detailed. The customization of load outs is amazing and I can honestly place this game in my top 3 of recent memory if not number 1.

Incredible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never played a Metal Gear game before I purchased a PS4, and was unfamiliar with the franchise. Wow, I can only imagine what I was missing. This is the most engaging and satisfying video game I have ever played. The graphics are superb, and the missions are awesome. There are so many cool scenarios to play through, and the ways in which you complete each objective are up to you completely. If you are on the fence about this one- Get it NOW.

Another Kojima Masterpiece
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a plot that makes sense go somewhere else. However, if you are looking for an awesome gaming experience Metal Gear is for you. Great gameplay and graphics. It does help if you have played the previous Metal Gear installments just so you can follow what is going on and familiarize yourself with the characters. However, don't let this dissuade you, because this game takes full advantage of the next gen systems to blow your mind!

Amazing Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was pretty intimidated by this game based on the sheer size of the world, and not being a fan of stealth games was another reason. However after playing this game I have come to love it! The best thing is that you don't have to be stealthy at all, you can run and gun, be stealthy, or do what ever it takes to conplete the missions. For $60 there's SO MUCH to do. It does get overwhelming at times because of this, but overall it's a fun experience.

Amazing game. Mediocre Metal Gear
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All that could have been. This game is a look at something that could have been legendary, but was never finished. It is a psychologically interesting game for the fans, both in its ability to make you feel phantom pain, and as a (possibly unintentional) look at the crumbling state of the games industry. The truth is this is an unfinished game. Not just a bit of cut content, every game has that. There is at least a third of this game straight up missing. Everything stops progressing abruptly at what is obviously the middle, preclimax. Casual gamers will likely not be affected much by this, but for metal gear fans it will hurt. The gameplay is phenomenal and it is easily game of the year. If only it didn't leave you wondering what the finished product could have been.

A Great Open World Metal Gear Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain isn't good, but a great game. The vast open world locations with their own weather patterns really makes the game feel expansive. The stealth gameplay is perfection on its own with guard shift and tactics changes, all evolving as you play. There are plenty of missions to be played, 50 main missions and 150 side op missions. They all can be replayed to achieve a higher rank and score as many times as you want.

Metal Gear at its finest
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Metal Gear at its finest, I've waited a long time for this game and it delivers. You have so much freedom on your missions, you can play lethal and non lethal, often switching as necessary. You recon the area, go in silently or guns a blazing, kick butt and take names. It's exhilarating when missions go perfectly, but also when it doesn't go according to plan you have to adjust accordingly. I've probably put in 15 hours and I'm only 8% done.

Kojima went out with a bang! Must have!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a metal gear solid fan for the longest. Sure the gameplay and animation in the previous installments can be quirky but when it comes to delivering memorable gameplay and awesome cutscenes, MGS always shines at the top. MGS V took away the quirky animation and made snake a fluid character. The prologue chapter is amazing and sets the tone for the kind of ride you're embarking into. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone.

Great game, don't be intimidated by the scale
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off this is a huge game. 30 hours on and i barely am over 10%. But dont let the scale or story intimidate you. Each mission feels like a mini game inside a real world. Each mission is a puzzle with several different ways of winning. My only complaint is i wish this game was more story driven. Most of the lore is hidden in the cassette tapes rather than the cut scenes. So much to do and i cant put it down. Definitely GOTY contender.
