This game has its flaws and by the end I was definitely ready to be done with this game, however, the 60 hours it took me to get there were filled with great game play and a good story from Kojima. It is the best Metal Gear game mechanically but it lacks the epic boss battles and pacing that previous games had. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

Graphics, story, game play make this the best metal gear ever

Amazing game with great graphics, gameplay, and great story.

I have been playing the Metal Gear series for almost 20 years now and this is by far one of the best ones (if not the greatest). The graphics are jaw dropping -- most realistic landscape graphics I've ever seen. And the fact that I'm less than 20% complete overall after playing around 40 hours so far makes paying for this game well worth it!

I've been a fan or the Metal Gear series for quite some time and this is by far my favorite yet. The open world feel, and ability to upgrade everything from your equipment and fatigues to your base of operations and the horse you ride in on (both literally and figuratively) is amazing. Not only WOULD I recommend this game to friends I HAVE.

I've been playing MGS since the PlayStation 1 days. This is easily the best game the metal gear team has put out. Sad to think that there will not be another Kojima one, considering the detail that went in to this game. The fun factor is easily a 10, as it takes far longer than previous MG games to complete. I highly recommend this game.

There is a lot to do, and each part is well thought out.

The Metal Gear Solid franchise has more than often provided a quality product with almost every installment. Metal Gear Solid 5 delivers a solid playing experience with beautiful visuals which greatly improves on the concepts presented within Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker and adds a welcome buddy system and enjoyable customization.

Amazing gameplay, detailed graphics and deep story line.

I picked this game up as my first Metal Gear game. I was unsure if I would like it but I took a gamble and boy am I glad I did. This game is pure fun. Stealth is encouraged but doesn't always work. Thankfully the game is large so you can retreat and reset or you can shoot everyone. If you're on the fence about this game, JUST DO IT!

There is a reason this game has won so many awards. It is such a great open world game where it feels like you're in control of the story and you choose the outcomes. One of the best, if not the best Metal Gear game of all time, depending on your opinions which may vary. Regardless, it is a great game and a great pickup overall.

You don't have to be a follower of the story but it is highly advise if you want in depth understanding of the story but even without it the game offers an immersed feeling in a open world format with beautiful design and graphics delivered by the Fox Engine. Would highly recommend this game for a 3rd person open world shooter.

Graphics, story line and game play 10/10. A must have.

The transition of metal gear solid from being a linear playthrough game that was heavy on the storyline and close to our hearts to a massive open world game. They change things up a bit in The Phantom Pain but they did a great job of implementing it its been over a month since I bought the game and I still haven't put it down.

Right now one of my favorite games of this year and the best playing MGS game to come out. The gameplay is rock solid with a great mix of stealth and explosive action, or you can choose how you want to play it. It's a shame that a lot of the story content was cut, but the core gameplay makes up for it. Definitely worth a buy.

This game is probably the best, if not second best, in the series. The side quests are open world, and the main quests get tougher as the enemies get stronger. I've enjoyed te story so far and can't wait to finish it. Also managing your home base is fun, because it's exciting to unlock and create new strong gear and weapons.

- The building of Mother Base and Diamond dogs is almost as engrossing as the game itself. -Intricate combat system that lets you approach enemies in any way you choose, from sleeping gas, to artillery strikes, to chopper support. -This is not a game for someone who doesn't like to plan their approach or go in guns blazing.

MGSV is easily game of the year, i could not review pvp as the servers were down and some of the content releases in october. I played 40 hours of campaign and I am 5 % complete. If you like open world games like I do, you will love every minute of this game, cutscenes, draw distance and textures are the best so far for ps4.
