This is one of the best games I have played on the ps4, the gameplay is excellent and very addictive, graphics are some of the best I've seen on ps4 and it has a great story and soundtrack what else can you ask from a video game. Definitely at the top of my list for game of the year.

    Best Metal Gear ever!

I've been a fan of the Metal Gear series ever since the very first that was released and this is my favorite of the series, behind Sons of Liberty! While views on this can tend to be more bias, especially coming from fans of the series, I'd say that my review might not be the best to read as compared to those that had never played the game before, or as compared to "expert" reviews. What I can say is that, the nuances and shorter cut scenes are well embraced, but still enough to keep me enticed in the game. I was skeptical on pre-ordering this game, until it actually released and I started playing. It does make me wonder how much longer the series can keep up such a high level of game play, graphics, and overall entertainment. If you are a fan of action/adventure games, I'd highly suggest you try the earlier games in the series, before jumping in on this one, but the background this game gives you on prior series is enough to enjoy the game, without being confused.

i have always loved the metal gear series, and this new one does not disappoint. once again hideo kojima has knocked it out of the park with his attention to detail and so much effort and love poured into his craftsmanship. I love this game for its story, gameplay, and so much more.

My Game of the year so far

MGS V is one of the better open world games to release this year. It's also the best MGS game (in terms of gameplay). Exploring the map is very fun, gunplay is very tight and feels good, enemy AI is pretty good compared to a lot of other stealth games, and there's a large selection of weapons to use. Managing your mother base is an interesting aspect which is expanded upon from Peace Walker, and it has been somewhat streamlined. The game is mission based (which some people won't like), but it makes it easier to put down if you're aiming for a short play session. In addition to the main missions there's a bunch if side-ops, which are all pretty fun to do. They try not to make them feel the same which I liked. Only issue I really have with the game is that the story feels like it should have been more fleshed out. The lack of hour long cutscenes is a good thing though. But the game plays really nice. Looks really good too, and runs at 60 fps rather than 30.

I'm about 10 hours into this game and hands down love it. The graphics are amazing and the story line just makes you want to keep playing. I like how they did the base build up because it add's so much more to the game. If you dont own this game yet then your doing something wrong.

Another great addition to the MGS series. Snake comes back with vengeance in this one. Non-stop action from beginning to end and absolutely amazing graphics. If you enjoy the MGS series and haven't tried this out yet, I don't know what you are waiting for. Go out and buy it now.

Easily one of the best MGS games in the series. Its essentially an open world RPG version of MGS. You complete the game the way you want to. Lots of options to upgrade items, so many ways to complete missions, gain intel, expand your home base, recruit mercenaries... its amazing.

The Fox Engine is unreal. 1080p graphics resolution at 60fps. The attention to detail and varied aspects of gameplay make this game a tremendous value. There's so much content and value here it boggles the mind. If you're a gamer, you owe it to yourself to buy and play this game.

I am a big fan of the Metal Gear series. I started playing them on the original Playstation. I like the open world concept and the music in the game is pretty awesome. Gameplay is a little different than what I was used too but it's pretty easy to pick up. It's a great game.

Kojima's final Metal Gear game is a technical masterpiece. While the plot may not be as fleshed out as previous entries, the game more than makes up for content. If you are a PS4 owner, (or an XBOX One owner) this is the first real must have title for this current generation.

This is my first Metal Gear game and it's actually a great game. The story line is very cool and they provide a lot of options for base building etc even though that's not really my thing. The action is great though. It's extremely long and will provide hours of enjoyment.

Deepest MGS Game in a reactive Open World

I've played this game for quite a few hours and only 7% done. MGS had gone open-world and it's lovely. Part action, part stealth, part RPG, part (mercenary) simulator and more, it is everything an MGS hopes it to be. The world reacts to you in subtle but meaningful ways. If you favor head shots on night missions, soldiers will start wearing helmets and nigh vision. Sandstorms and clouds can help or hinder. Among things you can do are design your base insignia, choke out soldiers and wave goodbye to them as they're fultoned-out, plaster sexy posters on your iconic hidey-box, pal around with an eye patched dog or sexy sexy sniper, collect hits from the 80's (nothing like some CQC to aHa's "Take on Me")... Yeah, I'm happy. Load times and helicopter rides are long but worth it. Also logging into a server for rewards or FOB MP games is shoddy right now. To new players, I would play Ground Zeros first for controls and minor backstory.

I have been a fan of Metal Gear since PlayStation one. I love the challenge and the story line. I wish they had an online vs. mode added I think it would be amazing with the style of play. As a campaign mode it is a very solid game even if it's your first time playing it.

NO SPOILERS. Hideo Kojima is a legend and a true visionary, and his genius shows through in MSGV: TPP. The fulton system is probably the funnest game mechanic that's been introduced into a game in the last decade. Gameplay 5/5. Graphics 5/5. Story 4/5. Overall 713/713.

This game is a masterpiece. It's also a huge departure from the other metal gear games. It's open world and has far fewer cutscenes. However, the gameplay is just amazing. If you like metal gear, get this game.

This is one of the best games ever made. It is so fun. I have put more than thirty hours in and am not even half way through the story yet because you get so side tracked with building your army. I am excited to see what the MGS online will be like when it releases.

Since this is likely Hideo Kojima's last Metal Gear, it's fitting that it should go out with a bang. If you were a fan of the gameplay of Ground Zeroes, this one will feel perfect. No previous metal gear has given you this much freedom or stayed this serious (there's still a bit of silly humor...this is Kojima we are talking about). It's baffling that people who complained for years about this series being too focused on story and cutscenes now complain that there's too much gameplay and not enough storytelling..but to me, it's a great balance. You can definitely tell the shift away from heavy handed storytelling of previous titles (although I have no qualms with that style) and it's very refreshing. Building mother base, completing missions, and capturing soldiers and weaponry is all a blast, and very immersive. Say what you will about Kojima, but the man is a Bonafide master.

Game is very good. The story is well written and the gameplay is outstanding. At first, it seemed harder than some previous Metal Gear games in terms of the stealth component and not getting caught but once you get used to it everything falls into place nicely.
