Great game with a really good story. It takes some time getting use to the game style but picks up after a few hours.

It's Persona if it were set in Game of Thrones. If that sounds appealing you'll love it. Mechanically, this is persona 5. A common complaint I hear about the Persona series is "it sounds cool but the anime high school setting just doesn't appeal to me." Well then this is the game for you. No highschool. No deep references to Japanese culture or history. If anything, this one has more western roots in its medieval cultures and monsters. Hieronymus Bosch was a big influence on the art direction. I personally think it's the best game the persona team has put out since persona 4.

Seriously, if you haven’t ever played a JRPG, this game is the epitome of the genre. It has action, strategy and an awesome story that will keep you invested from the opening scene.

35 or so hours in, Metaphor is excellent, creative, and a blast to play. I enjoy the main cast, the general gameplay, the combat, art style, story, and OST. If you like Persona or SMT, this is likely another winner.

Game was available for pickup, no issues. My son says that this is the best game that he has played in a while! I am going to take his word for it, because I don’t know what is going on! So sorry viewers.

I'm currently towards the end of the first dungeon and while it isn't exactly like Persona, it is similar enough with an interesting world to keep me engaged and playing. Combat feels faster for sure, which is nice. I'm excited to explore the characters more. Will update this after I finish.

I have played all of the Atlas RPGs in their particular style and common creature list with game mechanics that are common to all of their games. Metaphor is a departure of sort from the Persona and Shin Megami games, but remains familiar enough to feel like a natural progression. Its visually kinetic on screen most of the time, everything is moving. The soundtrack is amazing and I want it on vinyl.

I generally haven't been sucked into Persona or SMT games, but Metaphor: ReFantazio is really doing it for me. The music is great, the presentation is really stylish and distinctive, I'm enjoying the story, and -- at least on hard difficulty -- every battle feels like a puzzle to solve. I'm only 10 hours in, but I am absolutely loving it so far.

This game is amazing. If you like the Persona games or the SMT games in general, you'll love this. Everything from the animation style and the menus are very well done, Voice acting is on point and the ability to go from real time to turn based combat is awesome.
