Having access to local radio is important to me because not every station has an app or streaming service and while the signals are often an issue the adaptor works as intended.

Bought this for my 2006 Acura MDX. This is for replacing the factory radio / head unit. I had Geek Squad installed it for me. Works well and no issues after several months of use.

This is a good product that works well and I had no issues with it. I recommend it to anyone that is looking to have something like this installed on their vehicle.

This kit works fine. But there are NO INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL with it, and there is a second blue wire attached to the connector with no indication as to what it does or where it should be connected. On my 2012 Honda Ridgeline, this blue wire MUST be connected to the Remote Out line from your head unit (the wire that remotely turns on external amplifiers or controls power antennas). Although it isn't at all clear from the lack of instructions, my Honda Ridgeline has an antenna pre-amplifier that needs power from the head unit; otherwise reception will be horrible. So if you didn't connect this line and your radio reception is unacceptable or worse than with the original factory unit, do some research to see if your Honda has an antenna pre-amp that needs to be powered through this wire.

I walked in a BestBuy store thinking about how to fix the broken CD player for my Honda Odyssey, and talked to this very friendly store salesman. After hearing my problems, he immediately went to his computer and printed out a short list of everything I needed to install a new car stereo to replace the original one. Figured that there was not much to loss, I purchase everything on this list, including this Metra-Antenna adapter cable, and got a new car stereo installed. Now I can enjoy this much fancier brand new car stereo with CD player, and all of these for just 200 bucks.

I will say it was GREAT that my local best buy had this product in stock. When my dad and I were working on my stereo it was about 7 at night, my dash was torn apart, which meant I did not have any switches for my heat and it was the middle of winter and I needed my car the next day, and we realized then that I needed this wire to continue. I jumped in my dads car and went over to best buy and was thrilled when they had it in stock and that I would not have to wait for any online orders to be delivered. When we went to connect it, we realized the product was borderline defective, the little metal tabs that touch the metal in the head unit were not spread out enough to get a good connection so it was all just static until my dad took a small screwdriver and bent the products tabs out a little more to get a better connection. After that the product was good to go.

This part was needed for my stereo upgrade in 09 Acura TSX. Made the installation process easier. Product was the right part for the job.

This item was purchased to go along with my radio receiver install. It fit perfectly and was priced well.
