I guess it was ok? Told them I needed it for an Accord. They gave me this and to trust them. Turned out it was for a Civic and i had to return it.

Needed for install. can't install a new deck with out it.

Absolutely worthless! Tried every possible way to assemble the piece of plastic. Useless!

I would have like it to have a lip on the top so I would be able to see the car stereo display. The glare of the sun make it had to see.

Was very surprised how these kits help you add the radio you want.

I thought this was a pretty cheaply made kit for radio installation

I only gave one star more for the lack of knowledge from the salesperson. The item may work but it was totally unnecessary, although the salesperson insisted. Luckily I have a little experience with installing radios.

Asked the guy at BB several times if would fit my vehicle and was told yes. Should have trusted my gut.

Purchased as an accessory for a new stereo purchase.

It's a necessary evil with any factory radio replacement, when you go from a single double din to single din radio. Looks good works good, and a must for the install. Only brand option available during jy install, so i had to buy this one.

I used this kit on my 03 honda civic and it was the easiest and cleanest installation a have ever done. I have installed about 5 or 6 radios and this one was the easiest. Everything you need to put it in is in the kit and I would recommend buying this.

This harness was an exact fit for my honda odyssey plugged right in with existing plug ,the stereo mounting bracket on the other hand i only needed the face ring to mount stereo.

I bought this kit fot a 1998 Civic EX 2 door. While it worked in the end, I had to grind some of the factory plastic bezel inside the radio area to get the tabs used to lock the aftermarket radio carrier to the kit to clear enough to make the face plate fit flush. You can't see the area ground away with the stereo installed. I used the L-bracket supplied to hold the stereo in place by bolting it to the dash frame. That lined up with a factory hole in the structure. In the end, it looks okay, but was disappointed to have to grind the original bezel when all they had to do was shift the radio opening to the right a little bit. I agree that it it ridiculous to include pieces for 2 different body style cars in the kit.

This unit WILL NOT work with Civic Si's, you must use Schosche part HA1572B

I attempted to use this product for a 2001 Civic EX and the main piece was simply too big for the Honda dash it was designed to fit in. I bought this product not really expecting it to work as every SCOSCHE product I have purchased in the past has always been of very low quality. Aside from the mount being too large, there were several small plastic "nipples" around the outside edge of the mount that were at least 1/16 -1/8 in. tall from when the product was molded. Had the mount fit in the space it was intended for, this would be an area of interference with the SCOSCHE stereo mount and the factory dash assembly. Finally I would like to add how disappointing it is that they package the stereo install Kit as a "cover all" kind of sale, meaning if you want to buy an install kit for a 2001 Honda, you must also buy the unnecessary and unused hard ware for a 96-98 Honda. At least that was the case with my purchase. All of the hardware came in one large, cheap, plastic bag. Bottom line, I will never buy another SCOSCHE product again and I am disappointed to know that Best Buy carries such a low quality product line. I originally purchased a scosche product from wallmart in the late 90’s and it was horrible then too

So, this trim kit is not as good as the factory trim kit IMHO - it has a smaller tray for stuff under the head unit, and wastes some space above it. Still, it's serviceable.

I didn't end up using this. The one I had from my old stereo fit a little better. I have a 2001 civic and purchased a JVC stereo. But I opened it carefully and resealed it, they let me return it.
