I decided to let the Geek Squad install it there. I was informed at the time of purchase tha I would need to also buy a Metra - Stereo Installation Kit for Select Honda Civic Vehicles to mount your car stereo securely . It works fine and looks good but was a little pricey.

98 Civic needs this special kit for the radio
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you have a 1998 Honda Civic DX and want to change-out the factory radio, this is the way to go, as you'll notice that the radio has an angle on the side, not straight up and down, so have BB get you this special package for your Honda Civic. Priced about the same as many other units.
