I first bought this item back in July of 2016 for my 2004 Mercury Sable with my new Pioneer CD player and everything was GREAT! I couldn't have been any happier with this item and Best Buy's installation! BUT two years later starting in May of 2018 this unit went haywire! I started getting heat shooting out of the window vents. When I turned the unit off it came back on BY ITSELF! When I turn on the air conditioner it went fine then after awhile the heat came back on! I went to a mechanic and they told me it was my climate controls and I would need to go back to Best Buy. I went to Best Buy and they reset it and it worked for about two days when the same thing starting happening again! The temperature would be set at 60 and I would still get 80 degree heat shooting out! At one point I would set the temperature up to 75 and it got cooler THEN it got hot again! I gave up! I just went and bought another one! And so far the new one is running good BUT I feel like I shouldn't have had to buy another one period! So 2 stars!!
