    This is an updated product. The previous generation would keep the angle of the original factory radio, making screens hard/impossible to view. this version sinks the unit giving it the perfect viewing angle. This was installed on a 2009 civic, making the car 9 years old. The tec. at Best Buy found it hard to make it look flush making the installation look a little messy. I found out the weight of the unit rest on just the kit, maybe adding a supporting bracket would fix this problem

    Seems to work pretty well. Maybe not perfectly flush but blends in with original dash fine. Angle of screen seems good compared to $50 version which had a lot of review complaints about screen angle. Tinted windows helps too.

    I ordered this dash kit as a replacement for the other Metra kit that I had installed. The one I have tilts the receiver upwards, so that sun glare is your worst enemy during the day. You can barely make out the receiver. The picture shows the mount more lowered and angled towards the cabin instead of the roof. However, the design is the exact same as the one I had installed, so it defeats the purpose of this replacement. The plastic is also very cheap. Returned it right away.
