    I have an update for those of us that have older Mini Convertibles. Mine is a 2013 Cooper S Convertible that I have had for about 2 years. I was on the hunt for a solution to not having Apple Car Play. Tried a few plug and play situations but they didn’t work out. Was crushed when I saw that there was not a dash kit available for the convertible S. BUT I was patient (not really) and Best Buy FINALLY had a dash kit!! So I got a double din Kenwood receiver (Free install!), the dash kit, back up camera and steering wheel controls installed today. Very happy camper.

    Metra kits never disappoint. Fit like it should, I went the extra mile and painted the center section where A/C controls and radio are to match the original trim, a flat black sheen with automotive interior paint. Don’t forget to purchase antenna adapter and harness with built-in chime. The instructions included with the kit will guide you through the install and are well detailed. If you feel like you can’t tackle this install schedule an appointment with geek squad auto tech to perform the installation. I’ve had work done form them in the past, I approve.

    It was a complicated install and a few pieces needed to be trimmed but it fits perfect with my new double deck radio.
