    The technician hooked it up and tested it and it worked. When I went to leave it did not. The technician changed it out with another one that has been working so far.

    Terrible product, just doesn't work as advertised. Initially thought I might be my wiring or programming so checked and rechecked and nothing. Returned for a different brand and the new one worked perfect the first time using the same wiring. This was the 1 of 3 items purchased from the "Metra" brand and failed and had to be returned.

    Only works on some controls very hard to use and install. Even after update and no cable to do update.

    06 Scion Tc needed to be manually programmed. If you can get the autodetect to work but it still doesn't respond on the steering wheel, try manual programming. Price is a bit steep for what it does. If I could find a cheaper one I would probably buy it. This works with the Metra 70-8114 harness on the 06 Scion Tc but is not plug and play. Metra tech support was no help and rude, insisting this did not work without listening me. The steering controls work now but sometimes will have phantom inputs, like holding down the volume up button will end up lowering the volume when you release it. Works, but just ok for now.

    This was part of a new Kenwood radio upgrade for my 2005 Ford Thunderbird. I was very nervous about anyone cutting up my dashboard for the new system, but the installer did a great job, and I love the end result.
