I have a 2006 Lexus GS and was trying to install a SAS amplified bazooka .. I tried everything but it did not give me the sound I wanted .. I was trying to hook it up with hi level input .. i had the right hookup to the speaker out put but did not get any bass .. once I hooked this up to the car speaker wires the bazooka came to life .. I didn’t have to mess with anything .. just power ground and the acutal speaker cable connected to the stock sub ..

If you know what you are doing..... This product allows you to splice into speaker wires to run RCA cables. I wired it behind my stock radio. I used this product to keep my stock stereo/backup camera etc. in my car and have subwoofers. The product works great and has no unwanted feedback coming through my subs. Also, this product only comes with one set of left (+/-) and right (+/-).

Wanted to add an amp, but had an old 98 lexus stereo, since i was on a budget instead of getting a new stereo and then adding the amp, i just went ahead and had bestbuy add the line level controller, effect: able to use stock radio and now have an amp installed. pro: system now has bass and it booms down the road and the stock speakers (front and rear) sound great and are plenty loud to keep up with the alpine mono amp and 10" Alpine type r in the trunk. Happy, Happy!

    Does The Job

Works good if you want a fast way to add subs and an amp to a factory stereo. I tapped into my rear speaker wires in my Dodge Ram quad cab and had an amp with a remote gain knob that I have up front wedged in between my seats, so it is easy to adjust the subs level depending on what your listening to. It's not the most ideal setup, but if you have everything laying around and don't feel like dropping a couple hundred on a new head unit, you will get your bass fix.

These non powered output converters are just not very good sound quality. if your options are limited as mine were for replacing a factory radio then I suggest you pay just a little more and get a real line driver or processor like a rockford fosgate 3sixty.3 or the audison bit one. I went with the 3sixty and the difference was HUGE with a 200x4 watt amp. on the lower price end of line drivers you are still WAY better off with a Hifonics Bxi Pro 1.0 for around $75

Original issue was that my surround sound amplifier does not have low level RCA outputs for use on my Insignia sound bar. Connecting the speaker level outputs from the amp directly to the sound bar resulted in no output from the sound bar. Connecting the Metra Line Output Converter in series, allowed the sound bar to process the speaker level outputs from the amp. It was an easy installation and the adjustable gain a very usable feature.

Decided to try a DIY installation with my son in his BMW. Another car stereo place laughed when I told him it was a BMW. Probably would have struggled but the Best Buy tech gave me some free pointers on how to connect everything up. The gear sounds great. The install was pretty easy after a little homework on the Internet. Now I'm the cool dad! The tech pointed out I only needed to use two of the output wires.

If you can get access to the back of your car stereo and have an idea of which wires you need in order to pull a signal, then it's literally plug and play with this piece. Connect a ground wire and a couple of speaker wires to it, then just plug in the RCA that goes to your amp. There's nothing else to it!

I wasn't too experienced at installing something like this because you have to tap into your stock wires from your deck. All I did was cut and splice all of the wires and that was it, it worked. (P.S. you need to know what wires go to what or you will be confused) I used this to power my 2 12" MTX Terminator's and it works great.

Fixed Audi Low Rear Speaker Issue

    Posted
    Trevor

I installed an aftermarket stereo in my '02 Audi A4 and had the common low rear speaker sound issue. After searching a few forums, I came across someone recommending this as a fix. I went for it, hoping to avoid having to buy the $100 harness that is made for that particular issue. I'm glad I did because this converter worked perfectly!!! I can't say enough about this product!

Needed to Level Down my THX System

This was said to be essential for making my stereo work in my truck. I have a THX system with two built in factory amps...one for the doors and the other for a subwoofer. They needed to install one of these because the level coming out of the deck was making the factory amp turn off. So, by decreasing the level it made it work. Sounds legit, but I'm no expert. Everything seems to be working just fine.

I bought these for the simple reason I couldn't put my subs into my car without RCA jacks. I was a little skeptical about splicing into my cars original door speaker wires. After having it hooked up I can definitely recommend these to anyone wanting subs in your car without swapping out a radio. Work just as good and way cheaper then a new radio.

Expectations should be set low when you're comparing this to products like the AudioControll LC2i, but if you need a basic LOC, this will more than definitely do the job. This won't add any remote signal out (that you'll have to find on your own), but it will work. Your street's output will determine the audio quality out to the amp.

I wanted to add a powered sub-woofer to my outdoor speakers at home. At the very last minute, I realized that my sub does not have speaker level input. I know this converter is designed for car audio, but it works great with my sub. It also allowed me to adjust the input gain.

Overall quality will do the job . note this is not a high to low converter as I was told in Burbank so make sure our car has a low output in order to get the best signal. Other than that is all good bumping a 3g mb quart monoblock and knocking 2 12s . on my stock bumps ,.

Needed to tap into the stock bose system in my 2007 CTS to add an amp and subs. Worked GREAT. I would recommend it if you don't mind running your own remote wire. Otherwise grab the $50 version with the remote sensor built in to make your install a little simpler

I had someone tell me if I wanted a system in my brand new car, that I would have to buy a whole new deck & kit & all of that, when I came to Best Buy, they told me all I needed was this little converter and I wouldn't have to change out my stock stereo at all! saved me lots of money for the price of $15.

Bought this to install an amp and sun in a 2012 kia soul without getting an aftermarket stereo. It was easy to install. They only trouble I ran into was I only had one sub but if you hook up both left and right speaker wires it distorts the sound but just unplug one of the coax cables and it should be fine.

The good news is that this product works. It does exactly what you would expect it to. The bad news is that it costs more from Best Buy than it would from Amazon or other online retailers. That said, you pay for convenience - I bought from Best Buy so that I could pick it up right away in a store.
