However, do your due diligence ; knew it wasn't necessary. Salesman insisted. I agreed but spoke to installer about the situation and informed him that it would be returned after the install. Installer returned it for me. All good.

The straight plug item was cheaper but Best Buy refused to refund me the difference. Got tired of arguing with them and just left. Luckily for me I did not need a angled plug. Besides that cable works fine.

Clarification: Part is not right-angle as pictured
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Feb '16 tracked down this Metra universal extender part at the Oceanside store but this part number did not have the right-angle male input end as is pictured online (which was the only reason I needed it). Without the right-angle, it's just a 1-foot cable extension.
