Necessary accessory for Subau installations. Clear instructions. I spliced this to the aftermarke radio harness on my workbench with a soldering iron and shrink tubing. Don't try and do a patch job. Worth the effort to make the install easy, no struggling inside the vehicle or risk of loose wiring later on.

I recently was giving a 2001 Subaru Outback (my grandparents vehicle) with a cassette player so I bought a new Kenwood radio. It fit the factory plug perfectly! I matched the colors from the harness to the colored wires of the head unit, and had no issues. It made installing the new head unit super simple.

This adapter is labeled and easy to wire up. Nice thick gauge wires. Fits properly with the vehicle plugs. No need to cut the factory harness this way.

The wires on this harness were color coded and matched the wire colors on a radio I had owned for abour 15 or 20 years (which I was installing in my car), All I had to do was strip insolation, twist wires together, apply the wire nots, then plug it in to the car harness. Worked the 1st time! And to think, I almost tried to put this radio in by tracing wires, etc. I will never install a car radio without one of these harnesses ever again!!! Worth every penney.

I bought this adapter harness along with an aftermarket radio to install into my 2005 Subaru Impreza. This adapter is a must for installing any radio. I double checked all the wire connections on the adapter harness and all the wires matches to the radio harness. I connected and soldered all the wires and wrapped with electrical tape and the radio was ready for install.

Makes head unit installation easier and better than hooking up the different colored wires from the original radio to new head unit and using butt connectors and heat shrink.
