Ive been a Metroid fan from the beginning. Back when it arrived on Nintendo NES in th 1980s and I became hooked. Every game produced in this franchise had me wanting more especially the prime trilogy on the game cube and wii systems. The new Prime game was a very anticipated Game in my book since its anouncment in 2017 and ill have to say I was disappointed for its long time release. The game started strong but quickly disapated. The visuals were very satisfying but the story and game play were witout. I wanted more challenge and puzzles (as metroid had always been known for) but the puzzles never stumped me i did not get lost in worlds and the bosses had no iconic feel to them.

I've been a Metroid fan for a little over 20 years, and I've been waiting for this for quite some time. It has various flaws, but it is still an overall great game. Fun combat, excellent music, and very amazing graphics and performance on both Switch 1 & 2. Definitely the best-looking switch game I've played yet.

What a great game, been waiting so many years for this - it is finally here! I originally ordered this in 2019 and I just got it ! Too funny.. A must buy!

As a huge Metroid fan, both 2D and 3D, I was super hyped for Metroid Prime 4. The combat itself does feel like a Metroid Prime title, but that's about it. Levels are linear, the central desert zone is boring (and you're forced to spend 1-2 hours driving around collecting crystals), and the story doesn't make a lot of sense. If you're a Metroid Prime diehard, you might like this alright, but I'd recommend getting Metroid Prime Remastered if you're not. It's a much better game.

Overall a really fun Metroid experience. If you like to series you’ll like this one.

This is a pretty and great game. Does it help with Metroid as a story? not really, no. Just skip the story scenes or go get a snack or check your phone during story beats. I will say that the Lamorn story is interesting. I just wish there was more.
