Some of the best visuals on the Switch, smooth performance and well designed combat that action fans and players new to Metroid will probably enjoy. Those of you looking for a return to form from Prime 1, Echoes or the 2D games should probably avoid wasting your money. While the desert hub isn't quite as bad as many make it out to be, visually, it's very boring, with almost nothing interesting to discover and no real landmarks or points of interest outside of area entrances. Exploration is almost nonexistant, with a majority of rooms in the game being hallways with only one way in or out unless there's a save room, so each area feels like you're going in a straight line to bosses. Enemy variety is surprisngly small, with more and more new enemies just being recolors of earlier ones as you get closer to the end. Lastly, the game's hint system, which cannot be turned off, is one of the most frequent and hand holdy of any Nintendo has had. The game constantly treats you like a child, to the point where it even forces you to look at where the exact same early game room you'll need to revisit is, no fewer than six times throughout the entire game.

While it does have its flaws, this is a very well done game. Some reviews suggest provlems with NPCs talking or the desert being too barren, I honestly never had problems with those.

Would rate it mediocre at best, has a much different vibe than other Primes. The suit/weapon upgrades don't feel as good as older titles and the game falls on its face outside of volt forge and fury green. The score is great and the game definitely has enjoyable moments but is the weakest of the Prime series in my opinion.

Love the Metroid Prime series, and this game is no different. It has an amazing atmosphere, great music, and fantastic pacing. A great addition to the Metroid Prime lineup.

It’s a good game. It lives up to have strong moments comparable to earlier games in the series. A solid follow up that lives up to the expectations after all these years.

The graphics and gameplay were great. The story line was not that great and I disliked all the side characters talking.

Always loved the metroid series and this game keeps that classic feel. Definitely recommend if you liked the other prime games.

I received this the day it was released which was great because I didn't even have to leave the driveway! Awesome game and I would highly recommend it.

By far the worst Metroid Prime game. Each of the main areas are the most linear in the series, there's an empty desert, and NPCs that ruin the atmosphere in many areas. There's also a lack on new abilities that shake up the gameplay. Art direction and music is good, and there's still a few atmospheric moments. The overall physical copy I have no complaints.

Was preordered but did not receive on time. Came late with no explanation or anything. Great game!
