I have been playing the Metroid series since the original on my NES. It is easily my favorite Nintendo series, so I can't express how happy I am to see the series return with a strong 2D or side-scrolling effort. Samus Returns is fun, surprisingly bigger than I expected, and definitely worth playing for series fans. It is not revolutionary or groundbreaking for the series, but it is a welcome return for Metroid.

Really liked the box inside the box that was next to the box that was also inside that box. All boxes were very cool. Game wasn't very good though, stick with Metroid 2 on GB.

Been waiting for a new Metroid game. Technically a remake of a game boy title, it's very well made. Mercury steam does good work when they work on other company IP's

After years of a "true" Metroid game being absent (I do not count Other M or Federation Farce), Metroid Samus Returns comes to fill that oh so long gap. If you are a fan of 2D Metroid (Super Metroid, Fusion, Zero Mission) this is essentially the next step forward and should not be missed. Besides the graphics, everything is fine tuned and should be a welcome addition to the 2D Metroid family.

A remake of Metroid 2 brings the nostalgia to a new generation. Finally a 2d metroid game that fans have been waiting for. A must play for metroid fans.

i have been a fan of metroid and i can say that this saga doesn't have the love it deserves , this is a great game and a great returnfor this franchise.

I love Metroidvania games and enjoyed this, but if you just played Super metroid or Return of Samus you might not find this to be too much different.

The CD included is a good listen, and the game play is fresh and fun.

This is a great product if you can get your hands on it. It is great for fans of the series and those who just want something to collect.

Metroid: Samus Returns is a remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus for the Game Boy. This version of the game, outside of graphical improvements, remixes the level layouts and adds a few extra abilities. The changes to the game make it much more fun to play, while keeping the story intact. I'd definitely recommend this if you're a Metroid fan!

This game is definitely what any Metroid fan like myself had been waiting for quite some time now. It was refreshing being able to get into some awesome action that had a lot of love and detail that added to the already iconic Metroid II game on the Game Boy from back in the 90s, and made it even more wholesome.

I was never able to play the original Metroid 2. But this re imagining is an incredible ride from start to finish. It offers challenging gameplay at all times, and the backtracking never actually FEELS like backtracking, as new abilities/upgrades open new areas of exploration

If you are a fan of old school 2D side scrolling metroid, then this is for you. Highly recommended.

It's Metroid as we've always loved it! There are some frustrations with this game but at the end of the day, I have not been able to put it down for the life of me. Samus Returns has been one of the most fun gaming experiences I've had in a long time.

Finally Nintendo puts out another 2D Metroid game. While this is a remake, it feels like a brand new experience. The game looks fantastic, even if my hand starts to cramp with the demands of the game play. Definitely a must-play for all Nintendo fans.

Samus Returns does a lot of little things differently than other 2D Metroid games do, but it doesn't change the spirit of the Metroid franchise. This game has everything you would expect in a Metroid title, and it does all of those things very well.

Samus is back and ready to kick butt with all new moves and great adventure
