Finally Nintendo gave us a true Metroid game again. This game is a must own for 3ds. Perfect blend of 2d gaming with newer mechanics so it doesnt feel outdated. Absolutely love

This is a great remake of a classic game! I would recommend this to anyone who loved the old Metroid games or someone looking to experience it for the first time!

it’s been a long time coming for samus games in general. this remake helps to reinvigorate a series on the verge of dying out. really excites me for the next main title.

This game is soooo addicting fun and challenging a great remake! Can't go wrong with a map the counter attacks are also fun and addicting to do a must buy on the 3DS!

Mercury Steam did it! Glad to finally play another Metroid. I'm almost done with it. Fun game. I wish the world was a little bit more linked, but I can't complain.

I think the only real flaws with this game come from it being a remake of a Gameboy title. That and the controls aren't bad, but they can be a bit of a mess.

3ds version of the game is amazing.. Better than the original to me.. Reskin with new moves.. Special edition has a beautiful reverse cover to homage the original..

In the tradition of reinventions like Metroid: Zero Mission, this 3DS game takes a classic and does more than give it a new coat of paint. Highly recommended.

The game is quite good. The controls can take some time to get used to but overall the story is not bad. Kind of wish they brought this on the Switch.

Two thumbs up. Love the metroid series games and this remake it totally worth it. I hope Nintendo will remastered The Who series and I will be a happy gamer.

Metroid is a wonderful side scrolling game. I know the first person perspective was done well, but I enjoy Metroid a lot better as a side scrolling game.

This game is a must buy. It's a great challenge and just fun in general. It's also easy for newcomers to get the hang of with the new features put in.

Fun game. Fairly repetitive tho. And very short, about ~10 hours or so. If you're into speedrunning, this would be a good game for you to try.

A very good retro style side-scrolling Metroid game with contemporary mechanics and graphics thrown in for good measure. 7hrs in I cant put it down.

Overall, developer MercurySteam did a serviceable job with this remake. The 3DS controls are far from ideal but they work reasonably well for 2D platforming. The biggest issue here is that many 3DS XL users, myself included, experienced constant crashes of the game when attempting to use elevators or teleporters. For that single reason, I can only recommend this for the most patient Metroid fans who are nostalgic for the GBA titles.

I was having lots of fun with it until my son took it and kept it for himself. Buy it but don't tell your kids until you are done!

This game really brings back some memories. It has that old school metroid feel with updated graphics. It is really fun to play.

Great graphics and game play was so excited when it arrived ordered on the day it released great addition to my 3ds library

Metriod returns in its original 2d platforminf form if you played super metriod and loved it you will to for samus returns!
