Cool features, speedy smartphone, weak phone

So I have been searching for a new phone for quite some time. My last phone was a Samsung messenger 2. Which was a slider phone the could barely access the internet. I have an iPod touch 4g so I know the potential for smart devices. I also have friends and family that stay up to date as well. So when I was looking for a phone I thought this was it. I just activated it today, but have been using it as an iPod alternative for the past month. As a small tablet it works well. Overall the loading speeds and stuff were what I hoped for in this price range. The LED flash is nice and bright. The camera though is lacking. In addition, I occasionally get lines through the photos. It appears that there is a glitch and the camera leaves a multicolored line or two in the photo. The call quality is also pretty weak. I was more than happy with my old phone, but metro said I had to upgrade in order to qualify for the 4 line family plan. Well I have and used it as a phone for a day and I am ready to take it back. The person on the other end is super quiet compared to other phones. The way the sound travels to your ear is different since it lacks a front speaker. The phone also keeps getting dark and bright because the proximity sensor thinks my hair is my hand. It is pretty annoying. As far as software, this is stuck on 4.3 jelly bean. Kyocera says they sent the kit Kat update to metro months ago but so far there has been no word on an update even though lollipop is basically here. The lack of effort from Metro to keep their phones up to date is disheartening. Finally, the interface is glitchy when rooted. If I am trying to watch a video and press play then immediately turn up the volume, the program usually crashes. Actually, if I try to multitask and adjust the volume the system will crash. Overall I was pretty happy with this phone for its durability and speed, but as a phone I would look elsewhere.

    Good Waterproof Phone For MetroPcs

The Hydro Life is the best waterproof phone on MetroPcs, with a nice 4.5 inch screen, good call quality, a large amount of storage for apps and games, and a camera that takes adequate photos in bright sunlight. The Kyocera phones sold by MetroPcs in the past were buggy, lacked adequate memory, and had inconsistent call quality. The Life is Kyocera's best phone to date and its large amount of storage for apps and games raises it above the MetroPcs phones in its price range. The Metro/T-Mobile HSPA+ 4G network is fast enough to stream Pandora or Spotify or watch YouTube videos. Use the coverage map on the MetroPcs website to verify the strength of the Metro network in your neighborhood. The mediocre camera is a weak point, but none of the MetroPcs phones in this price range have cameras that are much better. Music sounds great with high quality headphones and you can add a 32mb microSD card to store your favorite songs. MetroPcs stores sell a gel case for the Hydro Life that fits perfectly and it gives you a more secure grip on your phone.

it's probably hard to beat this phone for the price. i had lost an LG phone and needed a quick replacement for work. this phone convinced me to cancel the insurance i had with metro pcs, because it cost less than the deductible on my old phone. i had it activated in the store with lots of help from the associate in the phone department. now i just have a different phone with the same #. my biggest issue is with android. i really don't understand why the same operating system can;t read the backup files i had on my pc, when i lost my phone, i lost all my contacts,

Phone has a nice display, and fast processor. Seems pretty fluid running apps. Camera takes okay photos in bright light, but in dimmer lighting there is a lot of artifact, and lines running through the photos. Home button on mine has too much sensitivity, and anytime you place finger anywhere near bottom of screen it jumps home instead of doing what you wanted. Overall an okay phone with a bad camera and some annoying quirks. Waterproof is a plus, I have tested it, and it does work.

I had it for two weeks and it puts a line through each picture taken. Also it has only certain areas the Wi Fi will work and you have to link into Wi Fi.I went to the store and they said they would have to mail it in to be fixed rather than replacing it at store level. Also another replacement fee would be required to cover the next phone.

For the price I paid, this is truly a phone that out performs phone much more expensive. The features easily out performed many other phones as well. Tough, rugged, water resistant, solar flare proof, shatter resistant screen, and a long lasting battery are just a few things that make this phone so good.

the phone exceeded my expectations; however there are a few glitches hen you select speaker phone there is a delay that takes a little getting used to. I use it to hot spot my lap top and that is very good.

I bought this phone for my 15yr. old daughter and she loves it. For the price this phone by far exceeds my expectations. In fact I will be purchasing another one for my 16yr. old here in the near future.

No memory space at all on this phone, don't buy it for games...you will regret it. Makes calls and you can drop it safely, that's it.

They have it on metropcs for $30 and at bestbuy $60 they should price match with metroopcs also.
