Overall: Great phone for the price. No complaints from the three people I know that have these. Would absolutely recommend this phone for the budget category it's in. Full Review: This isn't going to be comparable to a new iPhone, but it's not a bottom of the barrel piece of hardware either. I bought this for 3 different people (at $50 ea) and for the last month that they've had their phones, they all have had great experiences. The internal storage is lacking, but an inexpensive microSD card placed in will help with that. Longer Review: Who this phone is good for: 1. Anyone who wants to make calls/text. 2. Take pictures that are for fun and not because they want professional quality. 3. Light gamer. 4. Web browsing. 5. Moderate app user. 6. Listening to music. 7. Loves good battery life for a phone on standby. Who this phone is not good for: 1. Someone who cares about top of the line models. 2. Someone who wants to pull out their phone in a room and say it's the best this, that, and so on. 3. Someone who is looking to replace their tablet/computer with their phone. 4. Someone who wants to play intense games that use up a lot of resources. As for the people I know that are using these phones: User 1: Twitter, Google Hangouts, Light gaming, and Calls/Text. User 2: Music, Moderate Gaming, Text, Web, and Reading. User 3: Lots of Gaming (pushing the limits of this phone), many light Apps, Music, and Web.

I never buy the latest and greatest phone, as my needs are mainly email and Evernote. The L70 is a very nice phone, but LG made it a bit thinner than it should be. Whenever I took it out of my pocket, the screen would show pressure marks. They would go away on their own after a minute or so, but it was bit disconcerting to see and I would recommend a case for this model. Call quality was great, though the bluetooth would sometimes warble a bit. When you first activate the phone, all of the app updates and other downloads will make it seem very slow and it will get very warm. After that is done however, it is a capable performer. LG's software is minimal, though the built-in keyboard is a little overzealous in its suggestions. For example, if you mistakenly capitalize a letter in the middle of a word, going back and fixing it will bring up more suggestions with random capital letters. It's a bit weird. The camera takes nice pics but it can take a while to get focused, especially with the LED flash. Turn the flash off for close up pics, as it's way too bright. Overall, this is a very good phone with a couple quirks. It should serve you well.

In industry of electronics; for metal parts that are constantly in contact with each pther, they use gold or platinum plating. This causes the part to resist corrosion or any oxidation which decreases the conductivity at the contact points. Thos phone uses a very low grade plating which is visible. My last phone stoped working 13 months after the purchase...this was due to the corrosuon at the charging pins which caused the phone expensive to repair...this one has a liggt plating which in few months will be worn out and corrosion starts to happen.... heavy plating gold after research would cost around $3 per phone, but it seems like Metro pcs prefers to save that $3 and lose a customer over it :-)

Good Phone With Tiny Apps Storage

The LG Optimus L70 is a good phone locked to the MetroPcs network. Its big weakness is a tiny 1gb of storage for apps and games, which limits you to a small number of apps. Strong points are the big 4.5 inch screen, smooth Kitkat Android software, good voice quality on calls, wi-fi calling, and a camera that works well in bright sunlight. It lacks 4G LTE but its 4G HSPA is fast enough to stream music and videos in a strong signal area.

I like this phone, especially for $100. However it is severely limited due to little internal memory. It is 2G's or less so you cannot put many apps on here. It has an expansion slot but apps directly download to the phone and then you may be able to transfer them to the SD card, but many apps can't even be transferred. If it had more Internal memory, this would be the best value for a phone anywhere and a five star rating.

The phone is pretty nice. It has great quality. It's not a high end Android phone but it can compete. LG's interface is pretty dang nice so there is no complaint with that. I recommend as a first phone for your teenager or for a replacement for anyone who has had theirs lost or stolen mid contract or nearing the end.

This is a great phone at this price point. It is as good as phones costing twice as much. Processor, screen, size, battery, are all excellent. The only grip is why only 4GB of memory. You have to get creative using apps and such to move programs to memory card to get around this, so it gets very annoying.

    Good VFM phone

This is an excellent VFM phone. LG has provided Android kit kat firmware. It doesn't come with LTE or NFC but does other routine things just fine. Unfortunately, internal memory is a bit limited but you can easily workaround it by using Link2SD app and creating separate ext partition in your SD card to dump your apps.

I think the phone is fine for the $$$. The camera photos are a little grainy, but the most frustrating feature is the difficulty of answering an incoming call while trying to sweep the screen. More often than not I have to return the call because I cannot answer it.

i like the phone, graphics are really good , the camera could be a little better but works fine with daylight, also could use more memory , becasu some apps wont allow to load them on sd card, so internal phone memory get full quick, ( specialy if you have FB Twitter and instagram all running)

At this price. Is an excellent smartphone. For an average user that does not need to much apps. This is the perfect phone. Is fast and it has all the nice features of higher price models. Is very easy to unlock for international use too.

It's a fine phone, works like it should and wasn't overly expensive. But if an external memory card can run $40 and have 32 gb of space, why can't they just get that amount in the phone to begin with?

Not quite as nice as the big Samsung I had at sprint, but then again, it was $80 on sale instead of $300. The MetroPCS and Google junkware are disgusting; but what are you going to do.
