I'm new to Android & was unsure of what to get for a new phone. This phone has all the features I needed with a price that was $20 cheaper than @ the cell company store. The cell network is a little slow when it comes to browsing but on wi-fi this phone is FAST! The call quality is EXCELLENT even with NO BARS at all !!! The speaker phone works great but music will not play very loud but sounds great through headphones. I had a contract phone which had gone to month to month service & was wanting to upgrade to a smart phone. I started checking out the prices of plans & realized this was the best option for me. You get unlimited talk/text/web for $50 with no fees added on top. If I had went with a similar phone under a contract I would have gotten the phone free but a monthly bill of close to $85 or more.

Can't Move Apps to External SD Card!

A decent phone overall, the LG Optimus M+ has an 800 MHz processor, 320 MB of RAM and 3 GB of internal storage. BEFORE YOU BUY THIS PHONE, KEEP THIS IN MIND: The phone's internal memory is divided into two partitions, which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to move apps to an external SD card (you can only move apps between the two partitions.) You can, however, save multimedia (audio, video, and images) to an external SD card. The 3 GB the phone has for apps is really sufficient for the average user (like me). I would recommend this phone for someone who is new to the Android game.

A Good Phone - Three Years Ago

Three years ago, this would have been a good choice for MetroPcs customers. A lot has happened over the years. Gingerbread software was replaced by Ice Cream Sandwich, which was replaced by Jelly Bean, which was replaced by Kitkat. This phone is THREE generations behind. The 3.5 inch screen was okay in 2010, but 4.5 inches and 4.7 inches are the 2014 standard. Slow 3G data speeds have been replaced by much faster 4G and 4G LTE data speeds. MetroPcs is selling new 2014 models with 4.5 inch screens and Android Kitkat for as little as $50. Who would pay MORE than $50 for a phone that is three years old, using out of date software with slow 3G speeds?

Overall its a very good phone. Its 3G which takes a little longer for downloads. But in the grand scheme of all monthly phones its got a lot going for it that the other ones do not.

My 2 things that could have been better is battery life and the charger outlet appears on the top. Kind of weird, and hard to talk on the phone while charging.

Fairily small area that it can be used. Set-up for the different features is not so easy. A little pricy for a beginner.
