    It Ain't No Blackberry!

Well I thought I'd try this phone cause it seemed to be about equal to a Metro PCS Blackberry for a cheaper cost. Say 60 a month for a Blackberry and 40 for a Samsung. So not true. Not even close. $40 for the talk/text/web plan. Want email? 5 buck more. Want to use Facebook and such? 5 bucks more. Want to watch Youtube? Forget it for any price. That's not a track ball type thing in the middle either. It's a four way clicker with enter in the middle. Just in case you were wondering. This phone doesn't hold a candle to the Blackberry and if you want the Blackberry features like email and such you end up paying just as much. I made a big mistake doing this but at least it only cost 50 for the phone so no great loss. There's so much free stuff for the Blackberry and very little for this phone. Writing this for you Blackberry folks that might be thinking about saving a few bucks like I did. The bucks you save will be very few and the loss of features are staggering, Don't do it. As a cheap kid phone for just talking, texting, and SOME web surfing it would be ok. But that's all your gonna get. For what it does do it seems ok. But it's really about par with most flip phones with a little nicer size screen. Gonna stick it out through the first billing cycle then get my Blackberry fired back up. It will be a long month. This phone on the 25 buck just talk and text plan would be decent I suppose. Just don't let your friends check it out, it would be a bit embarrassing. It does look cooler than most inexpensive phones. It's a very poor Blackberry poser, probably acceptable only if you never had the real thing before. The appearance is the only thing similar to the Blackberry. I will say I was able to get to my web based Hotmail account on it. If you want to add music and ringtones and such for free you need to hook it up to your computer and drag and drop everything onto your memory card. If you go to a site and have it send you a ringtone for example, the link isn't "clickable" so you can't download it. I could go on and on... Do yourself a favor, keep the Blackberry or get a Blackberry if you want a real phone. I'm sure Metro PCS has better phones than the Blackberry on their 4G network and such, but this Samsung certainly is it.

I purchased this phone today & I started using it right away. This phone is GREAT! I was debating if I should get it or not cause I have little things that I don't like (not the phone) personal things. Then I made my mine and got it , I used it for about 5 hours . The battery life on this phone is INCREDIBLE . I charged it for an hour & it was already full . I used it for 5 hours & I still have all battery! The feature in this phone is basic , but I still like it . The camera is not that great , but it takes decent pictures. I get good call quality , no problem . The keyboard on this phone is NICE , but the keys a little small. Its okay. I get good reception too ! That's awesome. Overall , this phone is good & I recommend it to people that's okay with decent browser , and a small phone that fits good in the pocket .

So far so good. phone works fine other than the camera does not zoom. battery stays charged for a long time. Set up is a pain!! If you do not live in a "metropolitan" area getting a local phone number is a pain!! took three times. Unfortunately had to ask at a Metro Pcs store on how to get a local pre fix(after the area code), best buy service unable to assist. With unlimited texting is the best value for me. Had Net10 was never able to make a phone call. So far no problems.

This is the second one I'm buying for my son. (First one was left on top of the car and flew with the wind........) Good quality for the money. Even when a car run on top of the old one, the only thing that we were not able to use was the screen. But we could still do phone calls. New one is a little different, but has the same features. I will recommend.

This phone for the price is pretty good. I lke the weight of it and the battery life is good too. The only thing I didn't like was that when first connected, I was unable to send or recieve pictures and couldn't access the internet. However, after contacting customer service I no longer have that issue.

Overall, I like this phone. I still don't understand a lot of the features. I am sure it will take a little while. Horrible instructions though! Keys are way too small for me. Personally, I would like less features and more of a PHONE but that is way too hard to find right now. All in all, it seems to work fine

Very easy to use keypad for texting and sending emails; however, I do prefer the querty key pad on my blackberry. Not great if you like to use the camera feature - not the greatest pics. Not a fancy phone - just the basics! Highly recommended for those who are tired of smart phones, droids, and the like.

This little phone does it's job. Make calls send text messages and takes pictures. It's no S3, it's just a regular old fashion cellphone. I only pay 25$ a month tax included. Unlimited everything. I got tired of my distracting smartphone and high bills. Thank you MetroPCS. Great service.

first the service is not good, second the phone it self just a name, when you hear samsung you will thing its good, but its not. so the phone is expensive, second noting extra in it to make it worth this price, there is nothing in it, and the service (metro pcs) is so bad.

On metropcs except for making calls and text no data comes through. You can not browse the web or use any of the other data services, so only get the lower cost plans or a waste of money. Still a lot cheaper than verizon for unlimited calls and text.
