    So I purchased this pretty awesome TV for a great deal! I left Best Buy feeling confident and assured I got a great deal and they were going to take care of me with utmost importance for such a significant purchase. Everything went fine until the Geek squad guys came to set up the TV noticed there were missing parts to mount the product... I had to wait longer to mount my TV up the way I was told it was going to be. For some reason the Calibration that I ordered had to be done on a different day as well, when the TV was well due for a Calibration. I purchased this part as well.. not very cheap might I add.. So the next set of third party hires to come back to mount my tv and set up the calibration came about 2 weeks from the tv arriving at my place, which I also paid to have done, and set everything up... to my knowledge.. I asked before they were done if the TV was calibrated correctly and they assured me it was. no offence but the person who "calibrated" it was a teenager; half my age... all he did was mess around with the manual TV settings on the remote and said it was finished... the way it was described to me when I purchased it was not the way it was done, but with all the trouble I was already having I gave them the benefit of the doubt and was just glad to see my TV mounted. I didn't think anything of until I began to think if it really was calibrated to its full potential. I ended up calling Geek squad 4 months later to explain the situation and to realize that it was not calibrated correctly for to the standards I already paid for it 4 MONTHS AGO! I couldn't believe that there was another mistake on there end... and that's why I had to write this. I still yet to know if it was even worth it, obviously, but they "assured" me that geek squad will be out to get it done right within a couple weeks........ Make sure your getting what you pay for!

    Did not do all I was expecting. Color was not as vibrant with the new settings. went back to the old settings.

    Was told it was too soon to have that done should wait at least a year. The picture Quality is still fantastic

    Good choice for Plasma I had but not for OLED unless they have the special equipment. Ask first

    After having my TV for a month, the Geek Squad Tech came out, spent about 1.5 hours supposedly tuning the color adjustments and showing me the differences of quality between the different settings. He said he made the picture more lifelike, but after my entire family compared the new settings, we all agreed we did not like the new color settings and they now looked like boring colors. Fortunately, he did show me what setting to use in case we wanted the old settings, so we changed it back to the original setting before he made his adjustments. When I purchased the TV, I was given a $50 discount because I had purchased the extended warranty which brought the price for this service to $149 instead of $199. For me, I feel I wasted $149 and definitely feel IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. For the amount of money I spent for this 49" TV, I felt that Best Buy should have included this service at no charge. This way I wouldn't feel so bad losing $149!

    First I recieved a call to push back the service time for a later hour (was not an issue). Than the Serviceman (Peter) showed up and told the wife the TV need two more weeks before he can calibrate (hes gone out the door). He also told the wife he would call back to set up an appointment (never called back). I spoke with Geek Squad at el centro and they informed me that a technician will contact us to setup a day to calibrate the tv (thank you Geek Squad, for the follow up that day). BUT I'm still waiting........ Not very happy at his point.

    The representative was a good guy, but hadn't done a Vizio TV before. After 4hrs, the final results looked awful and we didn't know why because the numbers on the computer looked good. He went to reset on mode and wound up resetting everything to zero. Oops.. worse part is that after everything was zeroed, the picture looked great! What?!? Turns out on a Vizio, you can't start calibration off presets. You must zero out everything and start from Zero! Oh well.. I got my money back but not my 4hrs wasted

    Had my Samsung KS9000 calibrated by geek squad. Had an issue with lines coming on it they never fix it and I'm still waiting for them to fix the problem.

    For those of us that buy a nice TV, this is a necessity. For whatever reason, TVs out of the box are NOT color accurate. A calibration service makes a world of difference. Out of the box LED tv's tend to have whites that lean well into the blue range. It looks ok until you see the corrected colors.
